In 2005, Rodney and Mindy Hensley turned their personal hobbies: roasting fresh coffee beans from start to a perfect cup finish and feeding their growing family natural and organic foods, and combined them to create Sozo Coffee Roasting. Since the business has been growing all these years there has been a new logo and many renovations to their roasting facility and cafe. We are concious of what we support, and purchase from farms and suppliers that are dedicated to building ecomony, ecology and community in their countrysides, towns and cities. When you buy from Sozo Coffee you are taking an active role in the betterment of the planet and local communities.

We’re about 2 hours away from this place, but that’s probably for the best, as I would surely gain 100 pounds quickly if I lived nearby! Their baked goods were AMAZING & the coffee was just as good! My husband insists it’s the best coffee he’s ever had!! It’s definitely on our list next time we pass through. So happy we stumbled on this hidden gem!

This coffee shop is SO cute! They have lots of coffee options and not only do they have baked goods but they have gluten & dairy free options as well! The picture I posted are gluten and dairy free & they were AMAZING! The drinks were a little too sweet for my friend and I, so next time I will ask for less sweetness! I did get a lot of additives (flavors/syrups) to my drink so it ended up being $8 just for my coffee. But it’s so worth it as you can tell they go the extra mile to ensure the coffee is the BEST. The atmosphere is perfect whether you are working or meeting a friend. The staff was BEYOND amazing and helpful. Highly recommend!

I LOVE Sozo’s! You can tell with every drink they do things to the highest quality. I love that they blend their lattes (even iced) and get everything mixed well. My favorite is the Peppermint Mocha all year round 🙂 Would recommend Sozo’s to anyone! Great local coffee shop with great staff, yummy bakery items (their bagels !!) and awesome staff.

Fantastic locally owned coffee shop and bakery. Thoughtful and comfortable. Great place to come and relax with some friends or just grab a quick amazing coffee through the drive through. The owners to staff are engaging and passionate. This is must stop coffee house. Black bear dark coffee rocks! Well that’s my favorite at least.

I was in town for training for my job and I will tell you I couldn’t wait to drive the hour and half to get this coffee and pizza bagel!!! I wish this coffee place could be closer to me because I would get a brew every day, just fantastic coffee and atmosphere. The staff is amazing and quick. I will miss this coffee spot but I will probably do a family outing that way just to get a coffee and pizza bagel!!
