The Tlayuda was incredible. Street tacos great. Hot Sauce is PERFECT, queso was addictive. Go there. So good.

Legit food from Mexico’s greatest culinary region. The mole, the tlayudas, and other dishes were excellent. Very friendly service.

We are here for dinner tonight and had a wonderful experience! Great food and service. We appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. I ordered the Vegan Tlayuda- a very tasty and unique street food option. The salsas and different sauces were also delightful. Will be back soon!

Service was good and fast. The food was fantastic! I got the tlayuda, which is something I had never heard of before. It was super crispy and flavorful. It was a ton of food, so I have at least a lunch worth of leftovers, which I can’t wait to eat. This is a great addition to downtown Springfield, and I can’t wait to go back!

We had dinner at Soy Oaxaca the other night & it was exceptional! We had the Molcajete with steak and green salsa and the birria tacos. The Molcajete came out sizzling in a stone bowl and could have fed both of us! This is a family owned place and they create traditional dishes from the Oaxaca region. We can’t wait to go back & try the Tlayuda. Wonderful addition to the downtown dining options!

This was our first visit to Soy Oaxaca, and we’re glad we did because we had a terrific late lunch. Starting with the obligatory salsa and chips, we ordered guacamole and then our entrees: my wife had vegetary quesadillas served with fresh vegetables, and I had carmaronm (shrimp) diabla with rice, grilled veggies, and flour tortillas. The portions were large (my wife took home a box). My shrimp was spicy but not overly so, and I also had a glass of horchata. Delicious. Being a Oaxacan restaurant, the dishes were markedly different than other Mexican restaurants in town. The video with music was also a pleasant change. Desserts were tempting, but we both were to full to endulge. Maybe next time, and we’ll certainly be back.

mmmm… isn’t the first rule of restauranteering that somebody is always up front to greet and seat customers?! when i went today for lunch, no employee up front, waited a few minutes, nobody came out of the kitchen…not going to last long if you don’t get it together.
