Sovana Bistro has been a staple in the Unionville community since opening twenty four years ago and has evolved into a highly regarded dining destination. The kitchen and bar create simple hand-made items, inspired by ingredients sourced locally at the peak of their season. We cater to dietary restrictions offering house-made gluten free and vegetarian options. The service reflects a gracious approach to hospitality and genuine concern for each and every guests’ experience. We take that same thoughtful care in event planning, offering catering and in-house private functions. We are open daily Tuesday through Saturday for lunch from 11-3:30 and dinner 5-10. Take out is available all day. We look forward to seeing you!

We had a delicious lunch here! Fran’s meatballs, mushrooms and short rib tacos were all amazing! If you like your food with no spice don’t get the tacos. They were a perfect heat for someone who likes heat, like me!

Our go to place for years for Anniversaries and celebrations, Sovana has always had a cozy informal atmosphere for fine dining and consistently delicious meals. Go for pizza or choose from the entrees- everything from the steak to the fish to the chicken is incredible and you can’t go wrong with one of their homemade pastas. Recently renovated and tastefully done but in keeping with the informal feel, it’s the perfect place for date nights or a night out with friends and there is a bar scene there as well.

Cheesesteaks and drinks Tuesday with Amigo Dan became Meatball pizza and drinks with Amigo Dan. Beautiful place and the bartender was awesome. Big young guy. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and cutoff the patron that apparently had too much to drink. The drinks were tasty. $20 for a 10 inch meatball pizza that had a soaky crust was highly overpriced. The pizza tasted good but in my video you can see the crust has no structure.

Steak special was absolutely horrible. Was as if it had been scrubbed against the bottom of the grill, Black charcoal and greases. In the end it was taken off the bill!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. The menu features some great seasonal but funky offerings like truffle Mac and cheese. The pizzas are cooked perfectly and feature a light and airy and crispy crust. Hope to be back soon to try some of their other dishes.

Farm to table, fresh ingredients are the basis for this American Mediterranean bistro. I may not get their approach right but the food, atmosphere, and drinks are fun and delicious. Mezze platter was a surprise of asparagus, artichoke, eggplant, golden beet hummus with feta dip. The pizzas are brick oven crisp with electric takes on traditional pizza. Food just seems bright and savory compared to other local restaurants. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. It’s a bit out of the way but we’ll worth the trip.
