Wow, I’ve passed by this place twice a day every day for 3 months now, and I finally got a chance to stop by. Incredible! Southside Pizza, at the corner of 8th and Mifflin. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere, large menu, not just pizza. The first time I got a bacon burger and cheese fries. The second time was a Tuesday so I got tacos. The third time I got the shrimp basket with fries, the menu said 21 pieces of shrimp, but they gave me 23 came with garlic toast. Everything I got here was absolutely delicious, and very filling. The spicy shrimp pizza is, beyond all shadow of a doubt, the greatest pizza I’ve ever had in my life. They’ve got this really good carrot cake you should check out while you’re there.

The staff were nice and the place was fine, it’s just the food I had an issue with. I ordered the pesto chicken pizza. The pizza didn’t have any cheese on it, and the crust tasted pre-made, like a frozen crust. Honestly it was more like an open faced sandwich than a pizza. I would not order from here if you want standard pizza. It was also pretty lukewarm despite not being ready when I arrived and having “just come out of the oven.” We honestly didn’t end up eating it. I would not recommend this place or get pizza from here again.

The pizza was very good and I’m glad I got a slice of pepperoni. The Cheesesteak was standard. Good amount of extras but they were not mixed and very well. I think it was overpriced at $10.94. Very nice man working there. Pizza was very good. Good overall experience.

I ordered a large half ground beef and half onions and green peppers pizza and buffalo wings. Now I can understand the inflation in prices, and even maybe waiting an hour for delivery because of high demand. What I don’t understand is sautéing the green peppers and onions and just putting them on top of the already over cooked pizza. And on top of that my food was cold, resulted in me putting my wings in the oven to warm up as well as my pizza in the microwave for 15 seconds.

I’m from out of state, and I’m very skeptical about trying new places and this ones pretty up there, if you go here I’d recommend getting the baked potato’s or the mushroom pizza which is extremely delicious!

I’ve order pepperoni pizza and it came out soggy. The sad part was there wasn’t much pepperoni on the pepperoni pizza. A slice out of the pie had like 4 pepperoni on it.

I tried again after the first time and still the same results chicken fingers was fried to hard.just threw salt and pepper on my food. And the amount of ketchup I could scoop and put in a bottle at home. Very upset again.despite me saying I’m not going back.

We’re exploring alternative options, including Not Just Pizza on South 11th. Unless this establishment revisits its recipe and quality control, we regretfully may not return.
