We found this place because we were staying at a VRBO in Galena and were disappointed in the price/quality of food we were getting at the establishments on Main Street . This place is great!!! The prices are outstanding and you get a huge portion of food. Salad bar is simple but has soup, simple iceberg salad blend, and a variety of toppings/ dressings. The pizza is good.. its just a thin premade crust but it had plenty of toppings and cheese. They had a pan crust that maybe they make, not sure we just got thin. The chicken sandwich was huge and the Parmesan Garlic fries were scrumptious. It was worth the drive for sure.

THE GARLIC PARM FRIES ARE TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!! Homemade burger and bun was cooked exactly as ordered and the patty melt was perfect. Service was great. Prices were more than reasonable. DEFINETLY will make this a regular place to come and bring others. The owner and staff should be proud.

The burgers were very good . The crinkle cut fries are perfectly cooked . This place is not just bar food . They present a salad bar that was fresh . Macaroni salad was good . Pattymelt was very good . Everything is alacart, so it is easy not to waste food . Burgers 1/3 lb about $7 large fry $3 . And it was a large order salad bar with burger was $5 just salad bar was $8 .

We celebrated Valentine’s Day today with Family and it was Delicious Food and the Man taking our order was helpful in a fish sandwich choice and it was excellent!! We all had different foods and everyone was very happy with what they ordered. We will definitely stop again!!

Went for the first time me and my guy and we loved this place. He had a 1/3pd hamburger and I had crispy chicken sandwich with garlic parmation french fries wow and not to pricey. We will be back.

We heard the Southside hornet was the best place in Jo Daviess County for breakfast so we decided to try it out. It was even better than we expected. The servings are massive and well prepared. The staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, and you name it, they got the job done. We will definitely return.
