Food was fresh, service was great, small cozy little place, no wait. My favorite was the calamari. We ordered chicken, salmon and risotto. Everything was perfectly cooked and sauced. This place is a hidden gem. Never even knew it was there until a friend brought me. The waitress was kind enough to ask us if we wanted to wait for our main course or bring it out. I would definitely go back.

What a little hidden gem! Everything we ate and drank were delicious. We were unsure from the outside how the food would be, but when we walked in, it was completely different. Pretty, clean, and an open kitchen area. The staff were friendly and the service was good. The food though was the star! Octopus was amazing and I loved the seafood salad, everything was so fresh! This will be a regular spot for us!

I’ve been to South Side Clam Bar many times. My husband and I love to go after work, sit at the bar and have a couple of drinks and dinner as well as bringing family and friends for dinner in the dining room on the weekends. The food is amazing, especially the seafood dishes which are fresh and delicious. My husband and I have eaten here many times and always thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service is great and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

Unassuming from the car but neat, clean and modern inside, classy. Service was bubbly and attentive sangria was good. The large portions justify the price. Food was very good. Scallops cooked perfectly with a delicate sherry sauce. Grilled octopus had a nice roasting and a tasty sauce. Was a chance find on line…will come again to this hidden gem.

Made a reservation to this place for Valentine’s day with my fiance as we came last year for the same occasion and the food was great. This year… things weren’t as pleasant for us. Upon arrival the hostess asked everyone in line if they had a reservation, she didn’t ask anyone for names or anything so all in all reservations seemed pretty useless. After being sat we quickly ordered our food. As an appetizer we ordered 1 dozen oysters. The waitress came back with our wine and then our wait began… We waited and waited our waitress was nowhere to be seen, everyone else was running around frantically so it was hard to get other servers attention. Finally, we spotted her and asked her where our oysters were and if we could get bread. Mindless to say, the people next to us who were sat after us already had their oysters and bread and here were 25 min in with nothing. I spoke to the male manager who comped our wine. After requesting our oysters and getting our wine comped the waitress came back with a half dozen oysters rather than a dozen. We still hadn’t gotten our bread… After another 10-15 min she came back with our oysters and our bread, the oysters came with no lemon so we had to ask her for lemons. The people next to us already had their entrees… and another couple was just sat behind us. At this point we were already pretty upset and none of the servers seemed to care, notice, or prioritize our order when we had been waiting for so long. We waited and waited for our food… we were there over an 1:30 min. We went back up to ask what was going on, and a female manager started giving us attitude acting like we were wrong and being rude when all we wanted was to go out to a restaurant we used to like for Valentine’s Day. After telling the manager to look at the table who came in 40 min after us already eating, and I’m pretty sure one of them had the same entree I ordered, she told us our entrees were on the way right now. I told her that that is unacceptable and she told us to very rudely to leave, that she would not be disrespected, and even threatened to call the cops… Talk about a Valentine’s dinner, all we wanted was to go out to a nice dinner and we had to hassle just to get bread. Never in my life have I been treated like this at a restaurant and to act like that on Valentine’s day when I had a reservation at your restaurant is despicable. For a restaurant that is supposed to be nice and a little more upscale the staff is completely unprofessional and couldn’t even manage to serve it’s guests a meal… After this we went to Season’s 52 which was 10x more crowded found a nice seat at the bar right away got our drinks and our meals in an extremely timely manner from a very pleasant staff and had a great time. Come to this place if you’re feeling like you might want to eat something but you’re not so sure, that way when the service sucks, the manager yells at you for no reason and threatens to call the cops, and you don’t get your food you won’t be disappointed

Fantastically prepared and the sauces were superb. My chicken francese was the best I’ve had in a long time. Amazing. Again the sauce was perfect from the lemon, butter to the egg. Thin sliced chicken cutlet but very juicy. Kudos to the chefs. My wife’s collossal shrimp scampi looked great as well.
Very expensive restaurant but really excellent food.

Our first visit! The service was excellent, the manager was genuine and engaging and the food was perfect. Delicious and generous portions. We will return and will bring friends and family to enjoy the experience with!!!

The food here is always amazing as is the service. A little on the pricey side but well worth it! My experience is that the main dining room tends to be pretty empty so there’s no way for seating but it’s possible I’ve only visited fitting slow hours.
