First time coming to this restaurant and I must say the food was exquisite. My husband had the sturgeon, and I had the swordfish and they were delicious. For our appetizer we share a Cesar salad and it was also delicious, it even had a little kick that I must mention was surprising, but welcoming. I will definitely be coming back again. Oh and must I mention that we are from Washington here on an anniversary trip but will come more frequently just for places like this one. The food makes it all worth it!

I am so happy I found this place for me and my husband’s date night! From the moment we walked in to when we left, the experience was absolutely lovely. The ambiance is awesome— super spacious, warm and welcoming. The staff is so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.
Everything we ordered was delicious!!
We both got cocktails and originally only wanted one, but they were so good we had to get a second round. My husband got the Detour and I got the Marionberry Mule. The mule was so refreshing and tasty!
We also ordered Oysters and steak Tartare for appetizers, and the Sturgeon Piccata and northwest Cioppino for our mains— again, the food was very delicious! We are so happy we found this place and can’t wait to come back and bring our friends and family!

Had an early dinner at Southpark in December and it will now be a recommendation to anyone I know is visiting Portland! They had a private event shortly after the end of our reservation time so the restaurant was pretty dead. However all of the staff were still bustling around trying to get ready for the event and our service was still spectacular.
Our waiter was charismatic and helpful. The food was so good start the finish. We didn’t have a bad thing from drinks, appetizers, mains, and dessert. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts!
It is on the pricer side but is a restaurant that you truly get what you pay for and maybe even a little extra.

I didn’t know what to expect but the experience started at the door. The hostess was welcoming and let us know who our server would be. Our server was Rickie. Visited after lunch time on a rainy Thursday and it was slow. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. The shrimp and grits is spicy (for real). The fish and chips was cooked perfectly. I dont know where those potatoes came from or what they put on them but I could have made a meal of them. We tried the blueberry and the plum dessert and it finished the meal off with just the right amount of sweet. The blueberry was the best, in my opinion, served flaky and hot. I forgot about the bread service; so good. I was almost full of bread and butter before I ordered. I would go again if in Portland.

The space is modern and warm (great bar vibe, big windows, beautiful lighting), and the service was friendly and on top of it without hovering.
The Brussels sprouts were the surprise standout—crispy/charred in the best way with a sweet-savory glaze and a nice crunch from the toppings. I’d come back just for those. Drinks were solid too (well-balanced, not overly sweet).
Quick heads-up: they add 20% gratuity and a credit card fee, so just be aware when you get the bill. Overall, excellent food + atmosphere and I’ll be back.

I was in Portland for a work conference and went there 3 times in 2 days! Client lunch, then lunch alone the next day, then our team went to dinner. The clam chowder made my whole heart happy, had gnocchi in it and the presentation was lovely. I ate it each time and still want more! Service was awesome. One of us has a service dog, they gave us a table where the dog could relax. We had such a great time that we shut the place down! I can’t remember what everyone ate but we were all very happy. Go!!

I stopped by Southpark Seafood in Portland recently, and overall it was a good meal, though not perfect. The place has a nice vibe modern but comfortable and it feels like the kind of spot you could go for either a casual dinner or something a bit nicer.
I went with the fish and chips, and they were solid. The fish was hot and crispy on the outside and flaky inside, exactly what you’d hope for. The fries were thin and crunchy, and the tartar sauce was a nice touch. That said, the dish felt a little heavy after a while, and I think a squeeze of lemon or something brighter would have helped balance it out. I also tried the Brussels sprouts, which were good overall roasted well and topped with some fun flavors but a few bites were a little uneven.
Service was friendly and quick, maybe even a bit too quick, since the meal felt slightly rushed. The beer I had was excellent, though, and definitely made the food more enjoyable.
All in all, I’d call it a solid 4 star experience. Southpark Seafood does a lot right, but for me, it didn’t quite hit that wow moment that would push it into 5-star territory. Would I go back? Sure but probably when I’m in the mood for something simple and reliable.

This was our first time here. Our waiter was very nice. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The food looked amazing but was a little to salty and we did not care the cioppino at all. I enjoyed our appetizers more then our entrees. We will try again but will order something different for sure, or just the appetizers.

Came from Houston TX, my bf tried the fish and chips , he said they were amazing. I had the brussel sprouts and a cherry sangria, both were so good. Our waiter was really nice and friendly.

Baked oysters were definitely the star of the show. I would order more oysters in the half shelf but the shrimp & grits were kind of forgettable for me. I wouldn’t recommend the Oregon peach sangria, just a very very light flavor profile and the aroma was more appetizing than the taste. The service was a little inconsistent this but the staff were kind and reactive when called upon.
