My two friends and I shared all of the dishes we ordered…
Charred Octopus – delicious; we all enjoyed
Sautéed Broccolini – delicious; crunchy, not overcooked
Creamy Polenta – delicious; creamy and cheesy
Fresh Housemade Cavatelli – underwhelming; the veal and mirepoix ragu was watery and a bit bland
Black Squid Ink Linguini – underwhelming; shrimp was tender and plump, but sauce was bland and watery again
Grilled Branzino – delicious; perfectly cooked and seasoned
Chocolate Delight – yummy; nice chocolate and hazelnut elements combined on the plate; different textures were definitely a delight to finish off the meal; good dessert to share
Overall, this was a very lovely meal. The restaurant has a nice ambience for dating couples, but they easily accommodated families and large groups. The service we received was top-notch.

Relaxed despite its trendy vibe and sophisticated fare. Salads are huge. Pasta is well prepared. Pork chop is Fred Flintstone-esque. Wine list is varied and priced about what one expects.

We had one of the best meals we’ve had on the North Fork in a long time. The cocktails were creative and delicious – pretty to look at, too. Our server was knowledgeable and gracious, as were the many bussers. My companion had the pork chop, which was huge and very moist. I had the salmon, which was also a generous serving and came with a delightful mix of fresh grilled vegetables. We ended with a hazelnut chocolate dessert, which was just the right amount of sweet and rich. We’re looking forward to going back to try more dishes! The only caveat is there weren’t too many true vegetarian dishes – even the vegetarian pasta special was cooked in chicken broth – so if you’re dining with a vegetarian, you might want them to look at the menu in advance. But otherwise, a 5 out of 5.

The food was incredible at Southold Social. I love the restaurant. The bar area is really cute and it was a lively place. Also the outdoor patio looks lovely, but it was very hot when I ate there so we chose to eat inside.
The food was delicious. My favorites are linguine with clams, and the octopus. Both were incredible. I loved everything I ate and my cocktail was also delicious… I forgot what it was called, but it was a tequila drink. I highly recommend you try this wonderful restaurant in Southold.

Came for thanksgiving so there was a prefix menu. The food was amazing, and the portions were quite large which is on theme for thanksgiving. Everything was beautifully plated, the staff was really great. The vibe is very much, house turned into restaurant and I loved it.

I was so impressed with Southold Social, as was my husband and daughter.We just had Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and it was beyond exceptional.Everything from the greeting when entering, the ambiance, staff, and of course the food it was impeccable. And I must add the bartender, she made an amazing strawberry jalapeño martini, which happens to be my favorite cocktail. The presentation of the whole meal and drinks was so beautifully presented. We’re locals and have eaten at all restaurant’s on the north fork, even for Thanksgiving. Southold Social was by far the best yet.

Loved it! Food was worth the price. Loved the Mac and Cheese with the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Kind of big but worth it.

The peppercorn strip steak was well-seasoned though lacked the outer char and juiciness within. The butternut squash soup was thick (if you like it that way) and the apple crumble dessert was a large tasty serving.

For our Girls Night Out we tried a new restaurant, Southold Social by Chef François Payard. Everything was outstanding, the ambiance, decor, staff, and of course the food! If you like sweet cocktails order “Don’t Poke the Bear”. The Caesar Salad and Cacio E Pepe were delicious, and the Payard Chocolate Dome was rich and decadent with a touch of hazelnut.

Had the BEST FOOD AND THE BEST TIME HERE!!!! My hunnnies Jeff and I are new to the North Fork !! I have been SO EXCITED to try this place but they were closed for the season! When I saw they were opening and hosting a wine dinner pairing on Thursday nights WE HAD TO GO!!! First off~ I LOVEEEEE FOOD and a great cocktail(s), this was a NO-BRAINER!!! I have to say we had the BEST TIME , we met cool peeps and the FOOOOOD WAS AMAZEEEEEE!!! Not only was everything DELISH BUT THE PORTIONS were spot on!!! There was no way you were leaving hungry which happens often when you do a prixe fix menu. The other NICE SURPRISE was they added a beginner course which was a chilled cream of asparagus soup!!! WOWZA~ SOOOO GOOD!!! The next course was salmon~ again SALMON is my FAV, so was so EXCITED ABOUT THIS. Then we had gnocchi~ which coming from an Atkins loving person here ♀️ I try to limit my carbs~ BUT not here!!! I was no way NOT gonna eat it~ and DAMN~ it was SOOOOO WORTH IT . If that wasn’t enough, the main dish was short ribs which was a DOUBLE WOWZA!!! AND ALL THAT was topped off with a tangy dessert plus flowing wine!!! I say flowing because they kept refilling and there was no shortage of wine (as there usually is when you do a wine~ dinner pairing). All in all we have found our NEW HOT SPOT!!! I can’t say enough good things about the food, the wait staff and the chef!!! If you are in the area (then you probably already know all this) but DEF make this place your new go-to!!! ~ and if you are visiting~ then you MUST COME BY!!!! This is North Fork cooking at its BEST and you will be SOOOO HAPPY YOU DID!!! This a 5 star North Fork restaurant for sure!!! ~ DEF BE SURE TO CHECK IT OUT!!!
