Southmore Asian is one of my favorite spots for Vietnamese food. I don’t get a chance to go there as often as I would like. It has been a minute since I’ve been there, but it still remains as one of my favorite spots for Asian food. The food here is super yummy, The service is excellent as for the atmosphere, well if you have kids or if you like fish? you might like the giant fish tank with the big fish in it. I have been here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. So on this visit I had the pork fried rice. The rice does have excellent flavor without it being too greasy. pretty much my go-to dish. We also ordered some egg rolls. Now I have eaten a lot of egg rolls all over Houston and it’s hard for me to rank these but are up there on the list. The only downside to the egg rolls they only give you 2 and you always want more of them. We also ordered fried cheese and shrimp rangoons. They were a very good also. My wife ordered the general chow chicken. She asked for them to cook it extra crispy and they delivered. It was perfection. The crispiness of the chicken and the sauciness of the sauce was just the right mixture and texture. She loved it. Now for anyone that I recommend Southmore Asian to, I always tell them they have to try the wanton soup. The very first time I went to sophomore Asian it blew my mind. The wonton soup still remains our favorite dish on the menu . We can just go to Southmore Asian just to get the wonton soup, it is that good. Especially if you love green onions. The flavor just explodes in your mouth. It is that oniony. I say I must try if you’re a fan of onion.

Ever since I tried pho from here for the first time, i have been loyal to this establishment ever since, what really made me stay was their peanut butter sauce that comes with the shrimp rolls, no other establishment makes their peanut butter sauce like they do! yum . I brag about this place a lot even tho i be wanting to gate keep but this will always be my place for pho! I have tried other food and it’s really good also but i personally go for pho only, always friendly staff and over all it’s a really nice place to dine in, never too loud even if their is more people their.

I go here at least once a week for their Pho, but recently they changed their menu and updated it with pictures. I love that lol, so now it makes it harder to decide what I want for lunch. Great service and great food. You definitely need to try.

I’ve been here a few times and have enjoyed it each time, friendly staff is a plus however I felt a little forgotten today. Some people came in after me and were able to order before me. General tso also had too many large pieces of onion, would prefer it didn’t have any. Dish otherwise was flavorful and I will definitely be returning.

Every time I go into this place I receive the best service regardless of who it’s from. My plates never take long to be ready and I’m able to be in and out for my 45 minute lunch break. On top of that, their food always tastes great especially their pho!
Also I’m glad they introduced a matcha flavored smoothie because I can’t seem to find any in Pasadena and it was delicious

Worst experience ever. I understand that they aren’t Chinese but every Asian restaurant knows how to season properly than this place…Their food was plain every plate was plain and not appetizing. I had ordered general tso chicken (flavorless and soggy) with fried rice (plain no seasoning at all literally just fried plain rice with eggs for coloring) and wonton soup (the broth had no flavor and no flavor in the wonton itself), lo mein (seems like they really did try to season but just really couldn’t get it right), and egg rolls (flavorless the only thing that made them edible was the fish sauce) and let me tell you guys that it was so unsatisfying my family couldn’t eat it. $30 down the drain. They don’t even consider their customers no refund no compensation. Just a plain “SORRY” just like their food. Very disappointed. I really expected more because I’m Asian myself…

Firstly thank you for taking time out of your busy night to respond to my review. But I would like to you inform you that I don’t use msg in any of my cooking and our sodium intake is limited in my family. There are other seasoning that can be used to bring out the delicious flavors in dishes but from the taste of the food prepared in your restaurant didn’t have any flavors at all. If all of your customers were satisfied you would be having more than a 4.4 rating. You did have complaints prior to me, So I’m not your first unsatisfied customer. So not only was the food not good but customer service was a bad experience..Instead of covering for your business’s mistakes, it would be a good idea to own up the mistakes of your employees..As a business owner myself I understand how important it is to value a customer and make things right. I wish you and you business nothing but the best and hopefully from this experience from this customer teaches you to value your customers more. Because it is the customers who keep us business up and running.

It’s ok…but that’s it. Vegetable Beef. Tough beef, hard to chew.
Taste ok. Portion was a bit smaller than other Chinese Food. Wonton soup just warm, not hot. Dumplings small and not great, only 2 of them. I wasn’t real happy.
