We stopped by the Southernmost Beach Café right next to the Southernmost Point marker, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our time in Key West. They don’t take reservations, so we waited standing around for a bit, but it was absolutely worth it.
The food was excellent! We shared the calamari, which was perfectly done, and I had the fish tacos, fresh and delicious. My companion ordered a Key Lime Colada, which was the perfect tropical touch.
Our server was wonderful: very attentive, friendly, and on top of everything despite how busy it was.
The ambiance is what really makes this place special. It fully captures the Key West vibe, with ocean views, roosters casually wandering around, and at one point two policemen on horseback rode by, which somehow made the whole experience even more beachy and surreal.
Great food, great service, unforgettable setting. Would absolutely come back.

On Google maps this shows as being at South Street, however, if you go to the end of Duval you can walk kind of on the beach and it’s right there. Also note that the southernmost point monument has been relocated from its location a further further along South Street to the end of Duval Street.
As with any restaurant in Key West, you got roosters, get used to it, get over it. Roosters are everywhere.
We had the fresh catch edited sandwich as well as a meal. The fresh catch and the meal was shortfish and it was wonderful. Fresh catch and a sandwich was mahi-bye and it was wonderful too. The service was superb. The food was expertly prepared and this is the best meal we had at all of Key West and we went to some nice places.
Our server was spectacular, everything was on time but well. I also had some key lime Margaritas.

Excellent food. We had a Bloody Mary and a Mango Mimosa. We also had a Blueberry Muffin and a Breakfast Sandwich. The service was good and the view was even better. A very memorable experience.

Great happy hour from 4 – 6. Nice view, cool breeze, good food, good cocktails, everything you can ask for in a beachside bar. Loads of people watching since it’s right next to the southern most point tourist attraction for a photo.

Great spot for lunch right on the beach. Food was decent but a bit pricey as expected at a resort. Full bar on site with several specialty cocktails. Highly recommend this place for a fun afternoon

I swung in for the grouper sandwich after visiting the southernmost part of the island (sort of). The sandwich was delicious (grouper) and when a chicken decided to rob me of my lettuce an incredibly kind lady who works for the cafe offered to replace the whole sandwich. It was incredibly sweet gesture and since I was almost I declined thinking unfair that the chicken should rob her too. Highly recommend, just be wary of the chickens they’re little bandits! And if you visit please heed the signs and don’t feed the gremlins.

Just had dinner here the other night. Wow! White table cloth experience. Being right on the beach made the sunset extra special. Plus the service and the food was amazing! Some of the best seafood dishes I have had in Key West. If you are looking for a romantic evening, you should check out Southernmost Beach Cafe! I will be back to check out their happy hour menu!

A great open-air restaurant on the beach. Went for breakfast (twice) on wet, rainy mornings. The food was good though they only have heavily seasoned breakfast potatoes and not hashbrowns (our favorite). Server was good though very soft spoken and spoke only basic English. Happily surprised that they have gluten-free bread.
