The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. My group had several of the appetizers and they were incredible. I had their cheeseburger that comes with 6 pieces of bacon and it was amazing. Their drinks were great, too. They were named for fall which was fun! I can’t wait to go again.

Only been a couple of times, but we love the food and the service. The portions are huge, large enough to take home for a second meal.
My only complaint is the hush puppies, they taste great but are a little dry. Everything else is moist and delicious when it is supposed to be. Have not had dessert, belly too full.

The food was good. My burger should have come with bacon and it didn’t have any. My husband ordered a steak medium rare and it came as part medium and the other part medium well. The onion rings were very large but delicious. The waitress named Megan was sweet and knowledgeable. We waited a while for our check once we were done eating(10 or 15 minutes). That was the only downside, since it wasn’t very busy. Employees wore masks. I will definitely go back even with the few little kinks.

I don’t normally leave a review after one visit but you can tell by the quality and fresh ingredients this place uses they care about their restaurant. I had the Chicken BLT and homemade chips my sister had the Chicken tenders, coleslaw, and fries. The only thing that was not fresh ingredient was the fries and they were good quality. Everything we had was very good,
service was great, and the restaurant Including the bathroom was very clean. Yes our meals were $15 and $16 and the wait was longer than most places but expected with the quality and freshness of our meals. I wish more people understood that what it takes for good food. I hope they never compromise to lower prices and or service times.

Waitress was really friendly, and the place is clean but that was the end of the good things when we went. Waited 45 minutes for food when there was barely 12 tables with people. When food arrived it was barely warm, and flavorless. Onions on my hamburger steak tasted like they had been dipped in sugar. Catfish was the only thing that any of us were happy with. I understand it is still a new business, but this is not a good way to have things going. Willing to try again in a few months but for now and very dissatisfied.

We are a group of guys, former high school mates from 30 years ago, that get together once a month for dinner. We bounce around a bit here and there and we are pretty picky! That being said,, Southern Standard is by far our favorite spot. The steaks are always excellent as is the rest of their menu. The staff is incredible and take such great care of us. Based on our visits which probably total around 20 times by now, I would give them my highest recommendation. Thank you to the ownership and staff, we will continue to see you when ever we can.

Where to begin, well first of all Southern Standard had probably the best catfish I’ve ever had. That means a lot from me because I have never like catfish until I ate here. The prices seem high when you first look at the menu, but you get so much food, you could easily make it into two meals. What really sold us on the experience was our amazing waitress, Victoria. She was so attentive and went above and beyond. You could tell she really enjoyed her job and her customers. My husband and I both plan to eat here, again.

Not a single thing wrong with this place. It’s amazing with great food and great service. Family owned and being family friends really made the whole experience amazing. Definitely recommend the Chicken BLT or the Sweet BBQ wings. If you see Megan (the owner) tell her who sent you. She is full of amazing stories and she is a amazing person. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way around!!!

The steak could have used a little more seasoning, but was very good.
The fried shrimp was amazing, the batter seems to be like a mix of corn meal and beer batter and was seasoned perfectly.
The mac and cheese was good, the southern beans, even better, with a little smoke taste to them.
However, my favorite was the southern slaw. It was very creamy and sweet.
We will definitely be back!!!
