Good service here, we were seated right away for brunch and didn’t have to wait too long in between check ins with our waitress. I ordered the not my gumdrops button, definitely a more unique cocktail but delicious nonetheless. The shrimp and grits weren’t as cheesy as I prefer but it was tasty. I also liked the fried pickles and the ample amount of parking space.

The food at southern social was so delish and had solid portions. The shrimp and grits was so flavorful and the cornbread was to die for. I would definitely get both again. The pot roast was good too but didn’t wow me. I would’ve liked more gravy. The beignets were a great dessert! A little underdone but tasted great with the sugar and hazelnut dip!

Where have you been all my life! This place blew me away. I drive by twice a day on my commute and always meant to stop in, but never did. Friday I had a meeting across the highway at the title company and at 2:00pm finally decided to give it a shot. I am so glad I did.
The first impression was fantastic. The space is spotless, comfortable, and beautifully set up with great indoor and outdoor seating. It was a little cool outside, so we stayed in, and even inside by the bar I didn’t see a single fruit fly. That tells you everything about how clean this place is.
Then came the star of the show: the bartender. I wish I remembered her name, because her service deserves to be shouted from the rooftops. From the moment we sat down she was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and honestly one of the best bartenders I’ve ever encountered. I asked about an Old Fashioned, and she lit up, saying she makes a great one. She wasn’t lying. She made it perfectly, balanced, classic, and smooth. She set the bar high immediately.
When I asked about the menu, she walked us through everything with confidence and real excitement. That alone made it easy to spend money. We ordered the Southern Social Burger and the chicken strips. Let me tell you… they did the damn thing. The burger was juicy and seasoned just right. The chicken strips were incredible, tender, flavorful, and fried to absolute perfection. She mentioned they brine them first, and you can taste the difference.
They even have pull tabs, and we won a little cash on top of the great meal. Obviously luck is a bonus, but the real win was the service and the food.
All in all, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had south of the river. I’ll be back this week without a doubt, and I can’t wait to try more of the menu. This place is a gem.

3rd visit, first at Eagan location. Smaller than Chaska, still a very nice set up, food still very good. Unfortunately timing of food is a concern. Went to an early dinner (4:30) with daughter and 4 year old nephew. We order for him right away. Pepperoni kids pizza, while we decided our meals and had a drink. Some time passed- we order our meals- still no kids meal. Ask about his pizza. Wait and wait and wait. Finally get the side of fruit we asked for.. OUR MEAL COMES. Still no kids meal. When it comes out it’s only cheese. Offers to take it back make another one. No, it’s order with it 5 minutes of sitting down, no- option two- bring cold pepperoni put in top of pizza. It was not good pizza. Nephew did not eat it. And we got charged for it. Very disappointed.. I will just go back to the Chaska location. Wasn’t even acknowledged for the mistakes. Our bill $130.00

My group agreed the chicken sandwiches were excellent and worth going back again. I’ve had multiple family members eat at this restaurant across the last few months and everyone has lived the food. Would recommend the Hot Mustard Sandwich.

Ordered the catfish and was very disappointed to only see 3 small pieces and 4 hush puppies for $19. It’s not even enough to get full. Was my first time trying catfish and I barely got the experience. I also got a rack of ribs and the rub is too strong and hard to eat. Will not be ordering here again unless they compensate with something.

This has become our favorite brunch spot – delicious drinks, great food, and a fabulous atmosphere. The staff is truly lovely, especially Dylan (love her), and provide wonderful service!

Second time here. First visit was much better both in food and service. The fried chicken is really good. The waiter was attentive and personable. Second visit not so great. Waited a long time for server several times throughout the meal. Mississippi pot roast was just ok. Not a lot of depth and really heavy. Fun atmosphere but could use some sound deadening – lots of echoing that made conversation difficult.

This place was amazing! Great service, drinks were amazing and food was even better!! Our service was outstanding, she kept checking up on us and was very nice. For the food I wanted to try something different I ended up getting the peach pizza and it was SO good. Definitely will be back. 10/10
