First time here. Service was awesome. We ordered our food over the phone (on a Sunday) they were super busy, but the lady on the phone was super patient and respectful. The food was steaming hot. The greens were a little salty. The oxtails and meatloaf were amazing. We will definitely be back!

The food is really tasty good soul food. I haven’t had a dish from there that I haven’t like yet. And I’ve had the ocean perch, the salmon and the corn beef and cabbage all really good and of course the staple side dishes mac and cheese and yams, potato salad and dressing delicious also. The dessert doesn’t disappoint either I’ve had cakes and banana pudding, peach cobbler and sweet potato pie all good. The only dish that my hubby had which he did not like was the meatloaf and it may be because of the type of gravy but that’s the only one. He’s a meat connoisseur so he’s had the pork chops, meatloaf and turkey wings. My boys had the fried chicken wings which they Loved and the mac and cheese and the yams wish they also loved. They are available on UberEats and I also had takeout.

I recently ordered the smothered beef short ribs with mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans, smothered turkey chops, yams, and macaroni and cheese. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The food lacked flavor and care—nothing tasted like it was cooked with love or attention. For this to be my first visit, it definitely didn’t leave a good impression, especially considering the money spent.
Overall, the dishes tasted poorly prepared, and it felt like no one checked the food before serving it. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t return.
