My wife and I saw this restaurant off of San Jose on the way home from work and decided to go home and pick up our daughter and then go try it out this past Friday. When we pulled in, there was plenty of parking so we were super surprised when we went inside and the restaurant was completely packed. There was a 20 minute wait, which wasn’t bad but there were open spots at the bar so we decided to go to the bar and have dinner instead of waiting for a table. They start you off with a complementary cream cheese, dip, and crackers. Everybody was super friendly, and everybody helped one another in a team effort, which was awesome to see. The restaurant and bathrooms were super clean. When we sat down we decided to start our order with the raw oysters which were fresh and of decent size. We also got some other appetizers which included stuffed mushrooms which were about the size of racquetball’s, corn nuggets and gator tail which were tender and delicious. For dinner, my wife got the stuffed red snapper and my daughter and I shared the lobster dinner for two. Everything was fresh, tasty and served super fast and with a smile. If you’re looking to take your family out for a good quality inexpensive seafood dinner loaded with hush puppies and delicious seafood this would definitely be the place to go. We will definitely be back hopefully the quality of service and food stays to the standards that we receive this past Friday as they set the bar high.

Enjoyed our Saturday lunch and look forward to returning soon for appetizers and dinner. We both decided to order from the lunch menu and chose the combo that allows two main choices and comes with hush puppies and two sides. My blackened shrimp was fantastic, yummy without being too salty. My other main choice was clam strips. They were crispy and delicious, you could tell the oil used to fry was fresh as well. My husband chose fried flounder and clam strips, his flounder was light and flaky, again deliciously fried in fresh oil. We each chose two sides and shared to try they all. My favorite was the green beans, cooked in a garlic butter, they were firm and lightly coated in the garlic butter. The mac and cheese was good, very creamy. The flavor of the sweet potato soufflé was tasty but had only one texture, I would have loved a crumble or chopped nuts added. I was not a fan of the fried corn on the cob but my husband seemed to enjoy it. Darlene was our server, she was kind and helpful since it was our first visit. The restaurant offers booths and larger tables with lots of light from the many windows. The menu offers many choices and we are looking forward to returning to try additional
Items.

In town for a NFL game and had a taste for seafood. We were not disappointed. A short drive from Ever Bank stadium. Shrimp, stuffed red snapper, catfish, grilled chicken were all excellent. We had a minor issue with one of our meals and the manager immediately addressed it and made it right. As a small business owner myself that has my upmost respect in a world that expects you to accept whatever they provide the manager wanted to make it the best. I highly recommend Southern Shores Seafood. Trinity was our server and she was attentive, fun, and had great suggestions. Ask for her if you want superb service at your table but please please make sure you show her your appreciation with compensation that gives her support she deserves

My husband and I were looking for a new place to try and Southern Shores popped up- SO thankful!! Fried pickles and cracker spread started things off great! My mahi was delicious and the hush puppies SO yummy!! Oh and save room for dessert!! The key lime pie is WORTH feeling stuffed by the time you’re done!! The owner, Curtis, even came by our table to chat, super friendly! We will be back! Highly Recommend!!

I take my mom out to lunch every other week & we both love seafood. We were excited to try the newly-opened Southern Shores Seafood & had a positive experience. Our server, Trinity was an absolute sweetheart & took great care of us. The staff all seemed to be working together happily & seamlessly which is quite impressive for a new spot.
I didn’t get shots of my mom’s food but she had a cup of oyster stew & the flounder/fries basket. She did not love the stew overall (says hers is better, haha) so she ate the oysters out of it. She said the flounder & fries were delicious.
I got the blackened shrimp lunch entree with cheese grits and green beans as my sides. The grits impressed me – I’m often sorely disappointed by restaurant grits. The green beans were very fresh & buttery. The shrimp was good but I do prefer mine more browned.
Overall, we were very happy with the meal & look forward to trying out even more from their extensive menu.

We really enjoyed our visit to Southern Shores Seafood today for lunch! We live close, but wanted to wait for the opening crowds to die down a bit.
We were seated quickly and got our drink order in. I got the choose two (Sea Rover’s Combo) with fish and shrimp broiled, a baked potato and coleslaw. My brother also got the choose two with fried shrimp and deviled crab along with cheese grits and sweet potato souffle. Mom got the crab bites that were on the specials board and a side of cheese grits.
We all enjoyed everything. Our server was excellent and the manager came by twice, which was nice. We’ll be returning often to try other items. So good!

Fine dinning in a strip mall. I cannot say enough about this place. We received a friendly greeting upon entry and we were seated right away. The menu offers a large variety and the portions were bountiful. Everything was great. The lobster was so tasty. I have not had lobster that good in a while. The hush puppies, chefs kiss. Also the fried green tomatoes so yumm.

This is a newer seafood restaurant. It’s a lot like St. John’s and Ship to Shore (before they closed)
The fried food was surprising “light” instead of heavy how fried food usually is
I enjoyed all the food
Especially the complimentary fip and crackers.
They don’t have a bar but there are seltzers, beers, and wines.

Our family had a fantastic dining experience at Southern Shores Seafood. From the moment we were seated, the service was excellent—our waiter, Glenn, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
Service was prompt without feeling rushed, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make the evening special by singing for our daughter’s birthday. It was such a thoughtful touch that made her night unforgettable. We ended the meal with dessert, which was just as impressive as the rest of the menu.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Southern Shores Seafood for great food, outstanding service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I cannot begin to express what a pleasant experience this place was. The seafood was amazing, the shrimp were perfect, the hush puppies were to die for, and it was a real baked potato on top of that. The whole meal was like $18. I can’t believe it. The only thing that can make your meal better is if you got the server named Gina. She was on top of it, very friendly, very helpful.
