We had a late lunch at the Southern Pig & Cattle BBQ restaurant. The restaurant has a rustic ranch style decor, fitting for the type of food served.
I ordered the 1/2 rack baby back ribs, which was fall off the bone tender and a grilled chicken breast. Both entrees were delicious, so were the sides of baked potato, coleslaw, and potato salad.
Our server, “Shelley” was awesome, she kept checking in on us, seeing if everything was going well with our lunch.
At the end of our meal, we were offered a complimentary, self-serve ice cream dessert.
I was very pleased with this restaurant and will come back again to try their brisket!

We came here with a group of 24 people today, with tons of kids and had 4 different split bills. The food was awesome. My son and I had baby back ribs, my wife had bottomless salad bar, and other kids had burger sliders.
Our waiter, Evan, did a spectacular job managing the orders for kids and adults, without mistakes and was friendly and attentive to details. I think we’ll have to make this a regular annual tradition during vacations!

All of the food was great! The ribs were tender and juicy! The kids loved the fried okra and those onion tangles were fantastic! Hubby enjoyed the salad bar and his burger was perfectly rare! And we all got free ice cream on the way out! Ask for Shelly she was amazing! She knew all the answers and her recommendations were spot on! We will be back and we will definitely want Shelly again!

This was my first visit. I really enjoyed the food. My wife wasn’t thrilled with the mac and cheese, I guess, not flavorful enough. I switched with her. I gave her my barbecue beans, which she enjoyed. I thought the mac and cheese was okay. Overall I enjoyed the food and I would eat here again. The waitress was attentive and pleasant. My one complaint, I wish there was more desert to choose from.

6.5 out of 10 for brisket. First time here. Texas “feel” inside. Especially nice server. We’re Texans, so it’s tough for us to try bbq outside of state. Cornbread good and not dry. Husband got brisket sandwich on garlic toast and it was good as well. Enjoyed trying their various sauces and surprised we both liked the pulled pork sauce. The hot is not hot at all. Baked potato was ok, but not fresh out of the oven, luke warm and not served with real butter. Would not order again. Overall, we’d go back but try different items.

We had never been here and stopped a month or so ago to try it out. We were seated and our server, Holly came over and explained everything and told us about the specials. Our meal was great, steaks cooked perfect and tender, the salad bar fresh and our service was fantastic. We have been back several more times and always ask to be seated in Holly’s section, she is phenomenal at her job and a very valuable asset to this establishment. If you go, ask for Holly, you will not be disappointed!
