The person at DT was great! The food was disgusting and way over priced. We got 4 pigs (tiny and disgusting) doz choc and doz glazed donut holes ($3.50 for choc $3 for glazed – walmart donuts would have been fresher)
The only thing that was good was the BOTTLED dr pepper! $17 for this lil bit is ridiculous! We could have had cracker barre for this price! 🙁 last time we will be going here!

I went there this morning to use my Major Saver card with the intent of redeeming one dozen glazed donuts for free when you buy one dozen donuts. The card clearly does NOT say a specific type of donut to buy, just that you get a dozen glazed for free when you buy a dozen donuts (See pic). It would seem to me no matter if you purchased 12 apple fritters (which is a type of donut) or 12 regular glazed donuts, that it would meet the requirements to redeem the coupon right? I bought a variety of 12 donuts which in value were far more expensive than the dozen free glazed donuts offered in the coupon and was told they could not redeem it because there were certain types in my order. I told them I am buying a dozen like the card says, the young woman told me that’s how she was told to handle it. I assume management/owners directed her to handle it this way. I told her I disagreed and that it is a bad business practice. Seems like bait and switch practically.

The service and attitude of the attendant is the start of the show here. I’m expecting a particular quality when I come to Southern Maid donuts and unfortunately they did not deliver. It tasted like the oil was old, or dirty and my order was not correct.

I ordered a few doughnuts a coffee and canned drink and an eclair, I didn’t get my eclair. I’m normally not that big a deal about these things but it wasn’t a sorry drive for me and I was the only one at the store. I don’t think it wouldn’t have been forgotten if someone wrote down the order. So if you go here double check your stuff before you leave as this is the third time this has happened to me here. Decent doughnuts.

Absolutely disgusted with this place. We ordered our usual donut shop order assortment of pig-in-blanket, sausage egg and cheese croissant, donut holes and donuts. Donuts tasted like they were from Walmart donut box. Croissant sandwich was definitely microwaved out of a Jimmy Dean frozen box. Donut holes were stall and tasteless. Pigs only had half cut weiny and were definitely just cheap hot dogs not sausage at all. Building is falling apart and mold all over drive thru window. I suggest to steer clear of this place. Absolute worst donut shop experience in Sherman, TX

Incredible. Crispy. Love the apple fritter — the others look great but I can’t resist the apple fritter every time . Lower mark on atmosphere- it is a doughnut shop, you can eat there but it’s meant primarily for people to take out.

Donuts are great! But, the drive thru on Travis is ridiculous! There are huge potholes that have been there for years- getting deeper each year. If I had a car instead of an SUV there’s no way I could go through there. I’m not sure why any business owner would not want to have their place of business top notch to keep customers coming back.

I’ve eaten kolaches my whole life and I have never eaten a worse tasting kolache.
They look and taste like they came out of a great value box and were microwaved for 30 seconds.
Wife doesn’t like the doughnuts.
Didn’t have chocolate or strawberry milk.
Spent $40 there on a dozen kolaches and 18 donuts (and 4 drinks) and the only parts that anyone enjoyed was the Dr. Pepper.
2 stars because the employees there were friendly and quick.

I love the blueberry cake donuts here, best donuts anywhere, and trust me I’ve hit up every donut shop around to find the best one. I could use a better breading for the pigs n a blanket, it’s kinda dry now, but hey, I still eat at least 3 at a time, and always finish it off with a Starbucks Mocha in a bottle from here. And it doesn’t matter if I an feeding me or the whole family, never costs me more than $12. And that’s pigs and donuts included.
