With a down home vibe the Fresh deliver on flavors and what a great way to taste real southern cooking. Just a block off main you could miss it so don’t go by. Call if your not sure. The fried chicken was juicy and tender. The fried cat fish was super tasty and delicious. The sides are excellent and what you would expect from this kind of restaurant. The banana pudding is out of this world but you better get it early cause they run out fast. The server was pleasantly engaging and enjoyable conversations were had. Sports fans always have plenty to talk about. The only thing missing is a outside shade when sitting on the porch at 6pm you may need a hat to keep the sun out of your eyes. Enjoy

We biked to Southern Fresh and sat outside on a beautiful day! Haley, our server was so friendly. The gf ordered the catfish fried and I ordered the fried chicken breast, wing and added 2 drums. So good!

our waitress was really kind and professional. She did a great job servicing us while dining in. But the food was not up to part, most of the food that was on our plate was either lukewarm or cold. They definitely tried to fix the issue, which is great customer service. But Just make sure the food is at least hot and ready for the customer. The catfish, collard greens, and grits were pretty good after a heating session.

Yes, I highly recommend their food, it really is delicious. What I don’t recommend however is the undisclosed added 20% service fee to our bill ( ONLY 2 OF US ). We love the food and will be back in the future but please make your customers aware of this added fee. I am all for paying folks a decent wage but this is your business and your responsibility IMHO. We chose to pay our waitress more because she was really great but once again the forced 20% doesn’t sit well.

Food was excellent BUT the order was messed up and only 5 meals came out (6 were ordered) BTW we were the only table at the time. The server informed us – no lettuce, so no salad, we’re out of brown gravy, the beer I ordered etc.

We ordered takeout because we were told the there would be an hour wait. The young woman told us she would call when the order was ready so we walked the strip and came back to find out she never put the order in so we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. Then we got this. (See picture). To top it all off she added her own tip and charge use for sides that were included with the meal and the fish was over cooked. Glad I’m a changed man.

The food was amazing and the waitress was very nice and attentive. My husband and I got the catfish, it came out quickly and was made perfectly. The mashed potatoes and gravy was some of the best we’ve ever had! We will definitely be coming back.
