Yall… when I tell you this food was SO good… FLAVOR BABY! The PERFECT aldente Mac n cheese. INCREDIBLE thin battered crispy coated catfish with perfectly cooked flaky juices insides. Hushpuppies were amazing w/ the sauce. Fries had awesome flavor but just ok texture. Jambalaya was delicious but to be honest it was kind of cold so maybe they plated it too early but the flavor was great. It was a bit of a drive, over an hour away to get here but i will absolutely be back as soon as possible. I’m tellin EVERYBODY about this place. Spend your money here. You will NOT be disappointed.

I recently traveled to New Orleans for the first time and I loved the food. And when I returned home I was so excited to learn that there was a restaurant nearby where I could get jambalaya. I got to say this jambalaya is delicious. I also got macaroni and cheese and some Cajun fries with some sweet tea. I asked one of the employees if it was real sugar or sweetener and he said it was the good stuff. Real sugar. Truly was impressive. The taste of New Orleans is in my backyard. The portions were huge and the taste was authentic. I will definitely be coming back.

I had to come check the reviews for this place after buying some dinner here. Sadly, I just paid $18 to pick up the seafood gumbo “main dish.” I’ve worked in food service so I understand setting weight limits on food, but this is really setting the bar low. I weighed it at home just for the heck of it because the bag felt so light, and I was given 10oz of soup, on the dot. It sounds delicious on the menu, but it has one piece of fish in it and a few tiny shrimp. The rest is water weight. This has to just be management trying to save money. The entire restaurant was completely empty at almost 6pm, and the whole place smelled like cleaning chemical. I guess I can see why folks weren’t dining in. And, like someone else commented, there was waaaay too much salt in the Seafood Jumbo. I need to open it up with my own beans and rice to make it more edible. Sorry to leave a bad review, but this place must be going under to overcharge for tiny portions like this.

Let me tell you, this restaurant had me feeling like I just stepped into New Orleans! Pure perfection from start to finish! The food? The world Incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it. We’re talking authentic Creole cuisine, the kind that had me reminiscing about being in my late grandmother’s kitchen, hitting that sweet spot in my soul.

Every bite was an experience. I mean, those hush puppies? Fire. The seafood platter? Let’s just say, it’s my new obsession. And the bread pudding? Absolute bliss. You could taste the love and culture in every dish, knowing these were family recipes passed down like priceless heirlooms. It’s so rare to find that level of authenticity in every bite.

Oh, and the vibes? Immaculate. From the music to the warm, inviting atmosphere, this place knows how to set the scene. Perfect spot for family, friends, couples, or a solo treat because when the food is this good, sometimes you just need that “me” time.

Trust me, I’ll be back!

Nice take on creole food. the chicken fried sandwiches had two pieces on each sandwich, jambalaya was spiced nicely but kind of felt short changed on the meat for the chicken and sausage. hush puppies were good but $8 for six (2 bite) Hush Puppies kind of felt like a little bit excessive. overall all the food was really good though including the homemade lemonade. Jr. Was an amazing host.

The best food around representing New Orleans Southern food. We used them for a house warming party, and one of the owners/brothers came with the catering truck. Guest still rave about their food. The number one dishes our family and friends complimented on is the catfish and brussel sprouts. Highly highly recommend

We LOVE coming here. My favorite is the Cajun Crab Fries . The owners take a lot of pride in their food and are usually there every time we come, super polite.

There’s parking both in front and behind the building, so that’s a bonus.

The Shrimp PoBoy and the Catfish PoBoy were delicious, a little messy to eat but delicious. Would recommend using a bigger bread roll to hold the sandwich contents.

We were there on a Sunday morning, not sure what happened the day before. Couldn’t order coffee because they were out. Both taps on the fountain machine were out of coke. They also ran out of napkins, I took the last three from the dispenser.

The beignets were tough and chewy. I was expecting them to be fluffy and light. The bread pudding was too sweet. It would have paired nicely with a hot mug of coffee.

I’d recommend ordering the food to-go and enjoying it with hot mug of coffee at home.

Yummy yummy yummy.
I have lived in Arkansas and Georgia. Visited New Orleans, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama. Southern food varies and this joint offers solid flavor, generous portions, and a clean and inviting atmosphere.
Ordered:
– fried chicken sandwich A+
– Cajun loaded fries A++
– chicken and sausage gumbo B+
The gumbo was good but Im not a gumbo fan.
I will absolutely return to try other menu items including the Sunday bignets.
