I normally don’t leave negative reviews, but after our wedding experience I feel it’s necessary to warn others.
We contracted this caterer to provide food and service for 110 guests. In reality, only around 70 guests attended. That means we should have had 30+ portions left over, yet there was barely any leftovers, and the 3 pans that were left, were not “packaged” as promised. It was clear we did not receive the amount of food we paid for.
On top of that, many items we were promised never showed up: the pretty plates and silverware, bottled water, lemonade, hush puppies, and the banana pudding (which was supposed to be included). When our coordinator tried to ask about the pudding, his response was: “They got a military discount, so that means they don’t get everything.” That statement was unprofessional and unacceptable. As prior military yourself, if you did not want to give a military discount, then you shouldn’t. You should not hold a discount that you willingly gave to us as an excuse to not follow through on your invoice and promises.
To make matters worse, maybe 10 days before the wedding he even sent a personal message to the groom’s mother giving unsolicited marriage advice, bringing up his own custody issues, and suggesting the groom should get a prenup. Completely inappropriate and crossing every professional boundary.
A wedding is one of the most important days of your life, and instead of making things easier, this caterer caused stress, embarrassment, and disappointment. We spent thousands of dollars expecting professionalism, respect, and the service we were promised. What we received was the opposite.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this caterer to look elsewhere. If you value reliability, professionalism, and basic respect, this is not the company to trust with your special day.
