But a pizza dessert? That was the highlights for the kids.
Wish they had some vegan desserts for me!
We were not disappointed at all.
The staff was prompt and polite.
The pizza was phenomenal. I got the Pear-A-Dice which was light and flavorful. The sweetness from the pears and the saltiness from the blue cheese just went so well together. I left full but not bloated and it was great.
The cinnamon iced tea was refreshing especially when paired lemonade for a Arnold Palmer. The waitress described it as “Christmasty” and it certainly invoked that feeling. So if you’re thirsty and want something to wuench your thirst, ask for an Arnold Palmer with their cinnamon iced tea.
I’m coming back to SouthCreek if I’m ever in Reno again.
We’ve ordered from SC before- probably a year ago at this point and I couldn’t recall why we stopped until I brought this home.
The missus and I had a pizza craving during a trip into reno. She was craving a brick oven pizza so after a quick search of the googles we settles on this place. We arrived a little after 1pm, so it wasn’t very busy and we were seated right away. Unfortunately, the chair and table we sat at had a pretty bad wobble forcing me to rest my weight on the leg to stabalize it. But that is the only negative I have.
I ordered their special (don’t recall the name exactly), and the wife ordered a 2 topping pizza. And we settled on the Garlic Shrimp appetizer. The shrimp came with some cooked crust cut into wedges like breadsticks and I could of just eaten those wedges all day. It had just enough crisp on the outside with that fresh softness inside. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the garlic butter was on point.
Next, pizza… I love pizza if I haven’t mentioned this yet. And this could very well have been my best pizza to date. I was worried as oven fired pizza tends to be thin and I love a good crust. The sauce had a sweetness to it that went perfectly with the savory cheese and the crust. The special had a lot of different meat toppings all cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. I ate the whole pizza, no amount of willpower would allow for leftovers.
Lastly, but not in the last bit any less than awesome was the young lady who was our server. Never once did she not have a warm smile on her face. She was polite, kept tabs on our needs without feeling like she was interrupting or meal and helped me find the right pizza as I wasn’t sure what I wanted.
All in all it was a bit pricey for a everyday kinda thing, but don’t pass this up. It’s worth the price trust me.
