Big serving sizes and great prices.
I am all for feeding all of Gods people. However, in such a compacted environment with others around poses a safety risk. This is how even Covid spreads and other diseases. I mean a common cold is inevitable during this time of year but a Fever and he was an older man. After my co worker became very uncomfortable we decided to take our food to go mid eating.
In this situation there should have been options. Simply letting him know that he could be served but in an isolated area or To-go. After he mentioned having a fever twice, that should have been an indicator to move your guest, politely enforce departure or another seat. Placing him directly near others, coughing the way he was, was very ill mannered. Today I woke up not feeling too well and I hope for my sake it is not something I contracted from this experience. I do not post this to deter people away because I do feel the people that run this place are beautiful people at heart, that have always been so kind but a reminder to keep your guest safe at all costs. The food was delicious. We just won’t recommend our department to eat in person, as we serve the community as well and understand these things happen.
My family and I have been coming to South Villa for at least 10 years. The food is the closest thing to going back home to the Philippines.
Few favorites (off the top of my head): Laing, chop suey, crispy pata, sinigang na baboy, pancit, many more. They have a great varity to suit the whole families taste buds.
marinated, wasn’t tender or authentic . Good Vibe but not worth the price
