Have been eating here for years, always been consistently good food. However, the past few months the catfish filets and fries have been very soggy and not eatable.

Very cozy and quiet place to eat. I had onion rings and buffalo fish for my dinner. Onion rings were lightly breaded and the fish was great. The final bill was very reasonable. Will come back again!

Really cool old bar. Lots of interesting decor. Menu has something for everyone. I had the Breaded Pork Tenderloin and my friend had the Big Old Mushroom Burger. Food was delicious!.

We have eaten at the Southside many, many times. The gizzards we ordered for take out were completely inedible. They were unacceptable and should have been thrown in the trash!!

COLD draft beer. Leave your big city attitude behind. Many would consider The South Side a dive bar. This is a small river town with this gem of a gathering place. Catfish or Buffalo. The fish is delectable. Warning though, if you brave the chicken livers and gizzards, bring an appetite! Your plate will be heaped with scorching hot goodness. The staff is down home friendly and will ensure that you are satisfied. With the fish I recommend white bread and onion with mustard. You will have enough for a sandwich with your dining experience!

We took a day off and went for a drive. We decided that we wanted fish so we went to Meredosia. This little restaurant and bar had great fish, fried mushrooms,and fried onion rings. We enjoyed the surroundings and license plates on the wall. Service was swift and food was hot and plentiful. Coming back again soon.
