South Side Açaí is a cute little spot and a nice find for a quick breakfast. It’s a small store with friendly vibes, and the açaí bowls were refreshing, but nothing mind-blowing compared to others we tried in Hawaii. Still, it’s a solid choice if you’re nearby and craving something light and healthy.

Tried multiple açai bowl stores on the island and this one probably wouldn’t make my top 3.
Came a little before closing and the girl behind the counter wasn’t the most friendly. Gave me the wrong change and also used her bare hands to pick fruits from the bucket into my açai bowl. She was dealing with cash and touching her face before making my bowl.
Beyond that the bowl itself wasn’t bad. Found the açai a bit icy and not smooth. Worth a try but would probably make the 15 minute drive to get a better bowl elsewhere.

Food was amazing so was service! Nice little spot to stop for a healthy breakfast. We sat outside and enjoyed our bowls before going to the beach. There is a coffee shop next door if you’re needing some caffeine with your bowl! They also have smoothies!

Super yummy açaí bowls!! I got the makai bowl and I would highly recommend for anyone who wants a bit of tropical flair. Definitely upgrade to the large size for more food and granola

These acai bowls were amazing. My husband and I and 3 kids all got different bowls. They were all delicious. The papaya is so incredibly flavorful here. Definitely recommend.

Probably one of the best Acai Boy I’ve ever tasted in Hawaii. I definitely recommend you try this, you won’t regret it. Owner is super friendly so is the chef Lucas. Will go again for sure. 11/10.

Very fresh açaí with reasonable price but better quality than most of the popular ones in Kona. Cute little shop nearby the best poke shop in town. A must try and will definitely come back
