Dogonit Farm Doggie Daycare and Kennel
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot seeing this beautiful historic house to walking through the front door greeted by the host/ owner Todd I knew that we were in for a special night! We were brought to our table marked with our name and within a minute were greeted by several experienced wait staff members that handled everything from our drinks to the dessert. As we sat by the fireplace enjoying our perfectly cooked steaks in this historic home we had the pleasure of meeting several other guests that made our evening even more special. We highly recommend South of Pearl and can’t wait to return!

The seasoning on the fried chicken was a delightful surprise. Enjoyed the pork chop, too. The fresh watermelon was delicious. Banana pudding tasted like my mom’s.

Excellent choice for a nice sit down lunch. Traditional southern dishes in comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

This review is for the lunch buffet. It was very very nice. Great selection of country cooking favorites including prime rib. Service was perfect and the ice tea was very refreshing. Love visiting Darlington.

What an excellent experience. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding. Like stepping back in time when people took care of each other and things were at a slower pace. This would be a nice place to bring a date, family or friends or come alone. All of the food was excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband Michael and I were traveling from Maryland to Florida and we stopped in South Carolina and had lunch at South Of Pearl. When I say the food was great. I can’t say enough how good the food is here. I don’t usually go back for seconds, I did this time. The atmosphere was so inviting, the staff and customers were really nice. They treated us like they knew us forever. The restaurant itself is just beautiful. We where even lucky enough to meet the owners. They were just as pleasant and polite as everyone else. Very friendly people. If you are ever in South Carolina you must stop in and check out South Of Pearl you will enjoy your meal. Michael said the fried chicken reminded him of his mother and she was an excellent cook , that statement from him was a big compliment coming from him. Thank You again South Of Pearl owners and staff for a great time and treating Michael and I like family.
