Sometimes when you pay $30 for a pizza you get something disappointing. Less cheese than you’d expect, fewer toppings than you’d like, crust that’s both too dense but somehow not substantial. However, this place gives you great bang for your buck! We got our pizza overflowing with cheese, generous portions of Italian beef layered underneath, and plenty of spicy peppers. But beware – this is a SPICY pizza and I’m someone who regularly uses hot sauce. I had to keep wiping my nose! It was delightful. We got half without hot peppers for the kids. We still have 1/3 of the pizza left and it was for 5 people. 10/10 would go back again!

Tried enough here to give a full review on my findings. Absolute favorite here is the Chicago style Italian beef with side of au jus. This is many times better than Portillo’s. No comparison. Second favorite is the Italian sausage sandwich. Antipasto salad is nice size and delicious fresh ingredients as well. Italian sandwich really wasn’t my thing as well as fried ravioli, but neither are my favorites anywhere else, so probably just me. Tried their deep dish pizza and family enjoyed it, but personally, I prefer the same from Giordano’s, mostly based on the sauce and crust.
Overall, love the place and would fully expect to see Chicago superfans sitting here enjoying the food and discussing MJ & Ditka back in the day.

We visited this location on a Saturday late afternoon. Walked right in and it’s self seating. Waitress came over pretty quickly was very nice and very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great suggestions. We ordered fried raviolis as an appetizer, 18 inch pizza half-and-half. They cooked to order so it does take a little time to receive your pizza. Food was great. We spent $47 for two people plus the appetizer and drink.

Excellent pizza, a nice selection of beer definitely worth stopping at. The bathrooms were very clean and smelt good and the lady that waited on us is very friendly and nice. She’s waited on us before.

We like to try different places a couple of times a month, and my wife wanted a deep dish Chicago style pizza.
We’ve had the other normal spots that everyone goes to for a deep dish. South of Chicago beats them hands down! Full of flavor and a great value to add.
The staff were very friendly, Sabrina was our waitress and was friendly and helpful.

Amazing pizza and staff canolli is real not made from frozen and food is absolutely amazing. Order discrepancies were corrected with no difficulty staff was courteous and kind.
We ordered 2 Chicago style deep dishes and they went over fantastically with the family when we arrived with them. Best Chicago pizza in the area hands down short of going to Chicago its self.

Outstanding far-south location of underrated local chain. The food is incredible, portions generous, prices fair. The staff is always fast, friendly, and attentive. Deep dish pizza takes a while to cook but that’s how it works. Dining room is clean and spacious. Lots of Chicago decorations and sports screens and jazz playing. I personally would have preferred the TV basketball games, plural, have been muted so we could hear the jazz.

We ordered the breadsticks and believe that it is the best appetizer we have tried here. Soft, buttery and good balance of Italian seasoning. Perfect for dipping in nacho cheese sauce. Also, we tried the Pepperoni Pizza on Thin crust and loved it. Not too thin but, and the pizza tastes good, but nothing beats the deep dish style. The Pepperoni Pan Pizza was delicious too. Pan Pizza is a cross between a thin and a deep dish crust.
The Garlic Cheese Bread appetizer has lots of cheese and garlic, and great way to start the meal. The Meat Lovers Deep Dish Pizza is the best deep dish pizza we have ever had. The sauce is extremely flavorful, and the perfect amount of pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and bacon.
If you are a Chicago sports team fan or a fan of Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza then look no further. Everywhere you turn there is a banner, sign or picture of Chicago sports team. The best one is a panoramic view of downtown Chicago. We ordered the Loaded Fries appetizer, and devoured it. The crispy fries which had a soft pillowy center was coated in a cheese sauce and homemade bacon bits. It was so delicious that we couldn’t stop eating it. We ordered the Meat Lovers Deep Dish Pizza and it was delicious. There was bacon, Italian Sausage, pepperoni and ham covered in a very flavorful tomato sauce, and the cheese had the right amount of pull. Our son ate the Pepperoni Deep Dish Pizza and loved it. He said it had lots of cheese and pepperoni, and enjoyed the flavorful tomato sauce as well. A friendly staff as well.
