All round 5 stars for this amazing gem! If you love Indian food, or have not tried Indian food before, we highly recommend this spot if you are in Manta. Cozy indoor and also outdoor seating, pet-friendly, kind and patient staff, service was excellent, and the food was DELICIOUS. Very flavorful, authentic, and warm. For 2 people, we ordered the Cauliflower 65 as starter (it’s like little fried chicken nuggets but with cauliflower), Chicken Manchurian, South Indian Fish Curry (comes with rice), serving of Coconut Naan (it’s actually naan and not like a tortilla), and to drink, a mango lassi and chai tea. All of this under $30. The owner also gave us a little desert on the house. Def coming back next time we’re in Manta.

My friends and I have been here many times and I think it just gets better each time, if that’s even possible. The service is excellent with very friendly staff. Great dining experience.

South India Restaurant in Manta truly exceeded all my expectations. Finding authentic Indian cuisine in Ecuador is nearly impossible, yet I was lucky enough to discover this gem right here in Manta. The service was warm and attentive, the flavors were rich and authentic, and every dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail. The cozy atmosphere made the whole experience even better. As a passionate fan of Indian food who has tried it in places like Canada and the U.S., I was genuinely impressed—it blew my mind! A huge bonus: the place is PET friendly, which made it feel even more welcoming. Without a doubt, a must-visit spot. 100% recommended!

Honestly, BEST INDIAN FOOD IN ECUADOR. We are visiting Manta from Quito and honestly wish they could open a spot in Quito.
The South Indian Fish Curry amazing 5/5
The Chai Latte w/ Milk so authentic 5/5
The Mango Lassi 5/5
AND THE COCONUT NAAN 5/5
The main dish came with rice and the rice although plain rice it was literally 5/5
I know this may sound like I’m exaggerating but I am not.
Ok my partner ordered the Chicken Manchurian and he said it was also 5/5 and we got the Cauliflower 65 to share it was crunchy, full of spices and delicious with the tamarind sauce on the side 5/5.
The spice level is no joke jaja I love spicy and the level 6 was perfect for me anything more would have had me sweating (!!!) so order spicy conservatively if you are not sure.
Obsessed is an understatement and only wish we had more days in Manta to come back again!!
Thank you to the chef for maintaining the true spirit of South Indian Cuisine!

Very good Indian food! It tasted differently than other Indians, but probably because it’s from another region. The dishes come with rice, which is a nice extra for Ecuador.

Coming from Dallas TX, where we have a lot of great Eastern Indian restaurants, this is now one of my very favorites. I had the lamb curry and it was the best I have ever had. It came highly rated but I was not expecting what I received. A perfect 10 meal. The garlic Nann bread was soft on one side and crispy on the other. A true delight. WOW !
