Dropped by for a quick dinner before heading to Blackwater falls for our wedding anniversary trip. Food was absolutely fantastic! Good service and quiet atmosphere. Worth the price for about $20 each meal. Brisket and pulled pork was well cooked, very juicy! Cornbread was phenomenal!

Just discovered this lil place Friday on the way through town. It was good enough we stopped again on our way home Sunday!
Friday we shared the BEST jalapeño poppers I’ve ever had. The crust maintains its crispy exterior and its filled with gooey white cheddar and cream cheese! If you go for no other reason, come for these. They are what brought us back Sunday!
Friday my partner had the popcorn shrimp special. There were a ton of shrimp but no sides and the shrimp were a lil average. Not bad just not anything special.
I had the baked potato with bacon and cheese. It was good but the menu said it came with butter and sour cream on it, but we had to ask for it. Would have been better under the cheese and bacon. They have a lot of other baked tater options I look forward to trying.
Fast forward to today, we went for more poppers. My partner also got the brisket tacos with their tornado fries for us to split. It was a generous portion. 3 good sized tacos and fries. The fries were delicious. The brisket is very tender, a bit too smokey for me but that’s a preference, not a complaint!
Finally, go for the poppers and take home some Barnyard Red BBQ sauce. I do NOT like BBQ sauce much at all. It was so good I was scooping it with my fingers. Lucky for me they will sell ya some to take home. Its the perfect blend of zesty and pepper. Its also not overly vinegar.
Service was great both days. The young lady with the purple hair was especially helpful and attentive today!

Marty the new waitress was exceptional! She said she was new, but you can’t even tell. Such a natural waitress and so so kind. The food was amazing. I got the south branch loaded potato, and it was delicious. Added some steak sauce to my brisket and it was even better! Kudos to Marty, Kudos to the food, Kudos to the business, and Kudos to the cooks!

I finally had the chance to eat at this place and I was extremely impressed!
I ordered the steak tips and was shocked how good they were. I had never had them made that way before. Out of 5 we definitely had a great time. The food was really delicious especially the tips!

I was dining in with my family on 1/2/26. I had been to this establishment in the past, and the food was good. On this day, the food was not even edible. At least my dish that I had ordered wasn’t. It was steak. It was tough, chewy, with pieces of fat.
I mentioned it to the wait staff, to which they replied by saying “I’m so sorry, yeah that really sucks.” I was left paying $20 for a meal I did not even eat. Good luck with this place.

Service was great and very welcoming to our group. It was not crazy busy there at the time we arrived. Upon seeing fried chicken on the daily specials board, I decided I wanted good ole fried chicken. The waitress stated they only had two orders left, well I was so excited to see that I was able to get my order in before they were all gone. Upon receiving my chicken it appeared to be crispy and well browned. (Wish I would have taken a pic for you). I then took my fingers and started to pull it apart and the breading crumbled as if it had been incinerated in a crematorium. I did take a bite of the chicken once the breading crumbled off only to find very dry white meat that you could not chew. My waitress came several times to check on our table and never once acknowledged why I did not eat my chicken. The twisted French fries were very hot and fresh and very delicious. Please if something is over cooked in your restaurant please do not serve to your customers. This is the reason that often sees restaurants open and close so quickly. I am an out of town guest, who visits family often and I care about our small towns. You may ask why I did not just tell them the chicken was not good…because I did not want it removed from my bill but rather had the acknowledgment of the over cooked food. Thanks for allowing to share my experience.

Fourth time to eat at this new restaurant, great experience every time. Today we really enjoyed the rancher burger and brisket street taco. Staff was friendly and helpful. Like the variety of sauces and self serve drink options. Spiral fries nice and crispy. Highly recommend.
