Nice quiet place to grab a bite to go or to dine in. I got my food to go as I was looking for something filling fast. I ordered the grilled chicken Ceasar salad. Employees appear nice and only a few at the register speak English. The rest appear to speak Spanish only. I when in the afternoon (1226p) and there’s plenty of seating. Both at the bar/counter or in the seating area.they also do catering. They do not appear to sell alcohol though there is a fridge that has a variety of canned and bottled beverages like sodas and juices.

I should’ve paid attention within five minutes. They were handing me my half a slab of ribs. They were already cut up. I didn’t look at them till I got to the hotel but I’m in New Jersey so you know what kind of battle it is traffic time these ribs are dry and older than A comedy show from 1862. I cannot believe I think it was the owner of manager that I was sitting there talking to let him know. I’m from the south we came over here for a family function and I’ve seen this real spot. I can’t believe he let me leave and no, I had to go to the hotel through traffic. I’m not from here with these dry bones. The barbecue sauce is sweet baby rays in a cup so if you are looking for ribs. This is not this spot.

I asked for my steak to be medium came out well done. The meat tasted old. The rice was flavorless and so were the vegetables. I tried to eat as much as I could purely just because I payed for it, but I couldn’t even do that. Picture provided to prove I actually didnt finish it and is in the garbage now. This is a big problem for a restaurant to have take this as constructive criticism and fix it.

I have been coming here for years but service seems to be getting worst and worst. Before writing this review I noticed I’m not the only one that has noticed. Also the 20% gratuity automatically added to every check, so how are the servers supposed to be motivated to provide a good service when they know their tip is guaranteed. Super disappointed my family and I used to love coming here. Today we had our usual 1/4 chicken with ribs combo which was great, but we were not greeted properly. Server left the table without us finishing our order ignoring the kids orders. Everytime we needed something we literally had to walk over the register and ask for it. Every part of the service was horrible hopefully the owners start noticing a pattern.

Used to come here for lunch break like a year and a half ago. Food was decent. Came recently. Food was garbage. Chicken dry. Rice dry and hard. Beans and plantains were the only thing that were okay. Not coming back. Ever. Oh also, they added a 20% gratuity for just me and another person. What? I decide whether I give a tip or not, not you!
