This place deserves the fabulous reputation it has. We loved everything we tried: two kinds of pizza plus a pasta dish. They weren’t kidding when they said the pizza would reheat well, too! The last time we had pizza that tasted so fresh and delicious was probably in Italy, no joke! It’s a good thing it’s a bit of a drive for us or we’d be there way too much. Can’t wait to go back and try their other types of pizza. Highly recommend, it’s worth a trip!

Amazing pizza! Truly hard to believe there is pizza this good in a little town on the Washington Coast! The variety of pizza styles is impressive, the toppings and cheeses are excellent. (I was not impressed with the Caesar salad – the lettuce was not particularly fresh and the croutons were mediocre. The dressing was fine, but served on the side.) The beer selection was good. The cocktail selections looked inviting, but we didn’t try them this time.
We will definitely return to try more styles of pizza.

Either by the slice or in the dining room, this place and owner lives up to their reputation. I love the Sicilian Spicy Hawaiian square, It’s my favorite! The crust…….superb! Also if you like thin crust I suggest the New York style Queen of Pesto…fantastic!

The Best Pizza in WA – Worth the Wait!

The reviews are absolutely right: this is hands-down the best pizza in Washington.

A few things to know before you go:
The Layout: The building is split—dining in is on one side, and takeout is on the opposite side.

The Wait: Because it’s so popular, expect a 30–40 minute wait depending on the time of day.

Bottom line: Add some extra time to your trip and don’t be discouraged by the wait. It is 100% worth it!

Detroit BBQ Chicken! You’re welcome!! If I had to choose one word it would be exceptional. When I think of pizza this is what conjures and reverberates inside my imagination. The epitome of comfort food. I only got a chance to try their Detroit style pan pizza but I’m eager to try more of their selections. Seemed like the NY New Yorker was one of their signature choices and most ordered pies coming off the line. I’m a big fan of pan pizza though. Easily one of the best WA pizza experiences I’ve had in over three years of wandering the state looking for pizza that blows the lid off. This is nuclear. The sourdough crust I’m pretty sure is what fairy tales are made of. It’s the pepperoni that launched a thousand ships. It’s the glass slipper made of dough that fits perfectly. If it was a symphony Mozart would be pissed and jealous he didn’t compose it. What Monty Python was really after instead of the Grail. But I digress…….Super busy on a Sunday but the crew were churning out those pies at a good clip. If you are a pizza aficionado then this place needs to be on your radar. I’m talking to you Portnoy!! Top tier and a 5 star pizza experience!!!! Excellent service and food! Well done!!! Will be back next time I pass through! Recommended!

Well this was a gem of a find. Found arguably the best pizza in the state. They have a specialty pizza that is limited to just a few pies a day. We had it with their “cup and char” (pepperoni) style. That was the most amazing pizza. Light airy crispy crust melted away in your mouth and then the high quality cheeses, meats and sauce dance on your tongue. We did 2 other pizzas a long with it. We went Margherita and the new York, New Yorker style. Each excellent in their own right. The whole meal was delicious. We drove from Tacoma and honestly would do it again. Make a trip to experience the sourdough pizza.

Pizza is good quality.
Staff is young but nice.
They have 3 kinds, traditional thin crust, Romana style, Sicilian style.

Fair warning this place has some odd quirks and guidelines:
1. You can remove toppings but cannot add them
2. They do not accept cash.
3. No reservations, the wait varies from 30 minutes to an hour and a half depending on where it is a weekend or rush hour.
4. Parking is a nightmare next to the restaurant. Free parking next to Westside pizza across the street.
5. Don’t be shy to make your self heard, the squeaky wheel gets oiled. They are busy but all the staff will help you if you need something.

Overall nice experience the 2 times I have been. The staff seem to be a little rough around the edges but hopefully as time goes on they will become more welcoming. Beautiful location. Wonderfully delicious fresh ingredients. You can tell they go the extra mile to make quality food. The sourdough starter is 138 years old which is really cool.

This place lived up to the hype. I recently read about this award-winning shop and figured we would take the family there the next time we’re in the area. My goodness, was it worth the trip!

We ordered the New Yorker and some cheese sticks! The ricotta cheese was out of this world! The dough was cooked to perfection. All of the flavors just came together so well! The children devoured the cheese sticks! The cheese stick came with a couple of sides of marinara sauce, and those were a great addition!

Overall, I think they probably care about every step of the process which results in a great product and happy customers!

This place is a try!

Family and I went to Sourdough Willys on 01/07/26 shortly after opening hours. We heard great things and decided to spend our ten year anniversary there with our 9yr old daughter. We arrived and ordered our singular pizza within 5 minutes of sitting down. We waited roughly 40 minutes and still had not been given our meal. Other tables, which there weren’t many, we’re served, ate, and left. Understanding that it had been awhile and our daughter was hungry at this point, we asked the waiter how much longer. Her response was that they had online orders to do. We stated that we were the only people still not served and that others had left. The manager then came out, and after telling him how long we wait, he asked us “okay? How would you fix the problem?”. Both responses from the staff did make us feel that our meal was forgotten for prioritizing the online orders. After almost an hour, we finally got our pizza and were offered “50% off the pizza”. We decided to take it to go, and when we were paying, they asked for a tip. I was frustrated and left with my family. While eating the pizza in the car, the sauce was cold, pizza looked terrible, and we found a piece of plastic in our meal. The entire ordeal was terrible and we will not be returning to this establishment.

We finally got a chance to try this amazing place last night and it did not disappoint. Despite being told there was a 45 minute wait, we were seated in just 20 mins. Service was quick and everyone was so friendly! They took the time to explain what each style of pizza was before we ordered. And the food was amazing! Don’t listen to the negative reviews, we had an outstanding experience and can’t wait to go back and try something new. It’s a small and very busy spot so there are bound to be hiccups but we thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
