I got the hawaiian on sourdough. The crust was great – super crispy, just a little bit tangy. The toppings were plentiful. Good pizza.
My wife got just cheese on the gluten-free crust. Honestly as gluten-free crust go? Pretty good!
The arcade was a great time and not just a gimmick. A good selection of games all in pretty good shape. I always love a few rounds of Galaga.
One recommendation, mind the time if you are picking up. They pretty much have that down. So keep that in mind if you’re ordering take out.
Caesar salad was good but my margarita pizza didn’t have any basil or oil on it, it was pretty much a splotchy cheese pizza.
Edit as response to reply: I was just thrown off by the picture on the company’s website compared to what I received, there genuinely was not a single bit of basil, the oil could’ve just gone past me based on how much you use but the stark contrast visually is why I made a review. I’d also like to clarify the mozzarella was never part of the complaint.
Edit pt 2: I did take a photo of it a good week after I got it since I was too sad to eat it and forgot to take a photo when fresh so it looks very decrepit but as you can see no basil
They pile toppings high, and use fresh veggies. Thier onions and peppers are amazing. They put toppings to the edge of the crust. They use enough cheese, but it doesn’t overpower the other toppings. Thier tomatoe sauce is the best I’ve ever had, and they use just enough that it keeps it from being dry without being too wet and making the toppings fall off.
My only critique is the sausage meat could be a little higher quality, though most pizza places use worse.
I can’t believe this small town has such a great pizza place! Please support your local business that have quality products!
I was assured my online order would be cancelled and I wouldn’t be charged.
Instead, I was charged for food they couldn’t provide.
No one contacted me, no apology, no explanation, and no effort to make it right.
Just a complete disregard for customers’ time.
So after an hour of driving for nothing, I now have to dispute the charge with my bank because of their poor customer service.
I’m done. I won’t be returning to Sourdough’s.
I gathered five friends for dinner, and we ordered a small white pizza, a large pepperoni, and a large margherita, all made with sourdough crust. Let me just say: the crust is phenomenal. It has just the right amount of crunch and flavor. All the pizzas were delicious, but there’s still a little room for improvement. We felt the sauce was a bit light, and the margherita could have used more mozzarella to really shine.
I’ve got nearly 20 years of coin-op experience, and unfortunately, the arcade side of things was the biggest letdown for me. Most of the retro cabinets were running LCD monitors. That might be fine for some folks, but I noticed input lag and fuzzy sprites. It just doesn’t capture the true arcade experience. On top of that, four machines were out of order during our visit, including Cruis’n USA, which was disappointing.
They did have two pinball machines, one of which was Addams Family, a classic and the most-produced pinball table of all time. It was level and in solid condition. I was having a great run until the machine randomly reset, which I’d guess was due to a power supply issue.
All things considered, this is still a great place to grab a quality pizza and enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere while you wait. Since they only opened earlier this year, some hiccups are to be expected. With a bit of maintenance and polish, this could easily become one of the standout spots in the area.
