Incredibly disappointing salad. I got the Caesar Salad (no meat) and my partner got the same thing with the chicken.
They literally chopped up the worst part of the Romain for my salad – all the yellow colored ends of the Romain stalks, barely anything green. They even left the ends of the Romain hearts in! (See picture). My partner complained that there was barely any meat.
Additionally, I would like to note there are no solid vegetarian options. Just because a veg forward person doesn’t eat meat doesn’t mean they don’t want protein. Please consider a plant based protein for the salads. Can be as easy as rinsed canned chick peas or roasted pumpkin seeds. Same thing for the sandwiches; consider offering hummus as a protein rich spread, or even lightly salted and sliced tofu. There are cheap plant protein options, please offer!
Additionally and most tragically, I bought a cookie. They asked me if I wanted to take it at the register or have it put in my to go bag. I opted to have them put it in the to go bag so I wouldn’t be tempted to eat it before my salad.
After getting to our picnic site for lunch 20 minutes away I was saddened to see they forgot my cookie.

10 outta 10, def recommend. This sandwich shop delivered an excellent experience. The customer service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming the moment I walked in. My order was prepared quickly without sacrificing quality, which I really appreciated. The sandwiches were packed with bold, delicious flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. On top of all that, the restaurant was very clean, making it an easy place to enjoy my meal. Will be coming back :)!

Best sourdough sandwiches I’ve had.
The Owner mentioned this sourdough imports from San Francisco so you know you’re getting the real deal. Soft bread packed with delicious flavor.
We went with the French Dip & it was incredible. Soft marinated beef with delicious Au Jus for dipping. Yum!!!
2nd sandwich we ordered wasn’t on the menu but the owner was happy to make a substitution! Pesto Chicken w/ Dijon mustard and all the veggie fixings. So good. We got one of their in house baked chocolate chip cookies… and wow… treat yourself.
Also there are GLUTEN FREE WRAPS available for those with allergies or preferences. A little something for everyone.
The staff were SO welcoming and friendly. Particularly the new owner Nav & manager Tyler. Atmosphere in the restaurant was clean & perfect setting for historic Placerville. They have a TV in there as well for any game days you’re looking to watch with friends. I’m sure they’d be happy to put on your game.

Hands down one of the freshest sandwich spots around. The salads are incredibly fresh—you can literally see everything being sliced and prepared right in front of you. Nothing feels pre-made or rushed; it’s all done upfront and with care.
My wait time was under seven minutes, which is impressive considering how fresh everything is. The staff is friendly, efficient, and clearly takes pride in what they serve.

Wasn’t impressed by this café. The lady who took our order didn’t listen while we order so we had to repeat ourselves multiple times then were told something on the menu wasn’t available but another patron ordered it right after us without issue. Than when our order was ready it got taken outside to someone else before being brought to our table (this 30 minutes after being told the order would take maybe 7 to 10 minutes). Every person behind us got their food before us and we didn’t order anything complicated. I much prefer the sourdough and co in the safeway lot than this location.

I made a visit to sourdough and food, service and atmosphere was amazing. The customer service was very welcoming. My partner had a calm chowder soup which was so delicious. I had a Cobb salad, which was very fresh.
