Are there ratings for zero stars available because if that’s such a thing that’s where I would start.

Ah yes, Sourdough, where dreams go to proof and never rise.

Ordered a sandwich. What I received was a $17 science experiment:
• Meat that was mostly fat, bravely refusing to identify as edible
• Cheese that was clearly introduced to heat but never emotionally committed
• Bread baked so long my order apparently forgot it existed

After the extended oven sabbatical, they graciously offered me free chips — because nothing says “sorry we ruined your lunch” like a consolation prize worth 37 cents.

And to really seal the experience, they sent me off with a cheerful “have a nice day”, which was impressive considering I was actively debating whether the sandwich belonged in my stomach or directly in the trash (spoiler: the trash won).

If you enjoy paying premium prices for neglect, unmelted cheese, and fat-forward mystery meat — this place is a must-try.
Otherwise, save your money, your time, and your appetite.

FROM OWNER:
“We strive to provide a better experience, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. Please call our store and ask for a manager so we can also help you with this more.” I am honestly not sure what this means???? I was not even asked if they could credit my account back for the meal, just was given a cold response.

Additionally high quality meats and ingredients….totally missed the mark on that.

Sourdough & Co. Big shout out to this company. They catered my grandmother’s funeral service and the food and set up was amazing! They were nice, on time and reasonably priced; Our guests were impressed.
We had a variety of their sandwiches, from Italian to chicken salad. They had a bit to much red onion for my liking but once i picked them out the experience of the amazing sourdough bread and the flavor was to die for.
They also provided all the condiments, from mustard and may to pickles.
My family and I couldn’t have been more happy..i recommended them for yourselves to try out or for any party needs.

One of the best clam chowder and Reuben sandwich we have had 🙂

Came in for a small meal, the two working behind the counter were welcoming and ready to answer any questions we had since it was our first time in.

Thought I’d try this little sandwich shop out for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised with the clean, inviting atmosphere (smelling like fresh-baked bread) after walking in. I chose the Ruben w/Sauerkraut (4″), paid, and was ready with my to-go order within 6-minutes. The sandwich was very well-made, still hot and tasted wonderful.

I’ll definitely be back with the family for more their delicious sandwiches!

What can I say about my favorite sandwich shop? The staff is not only professional but also friendly, making me feel welcome every time I step into the restaurant. Their dedication to providing fresh food is unparalleled and it shows in their menu options like the Cobb salad which is made to perfection. As someone who has lived in New England, I was pleasantly surprised by the clam chowder soup served in a bread bowl – an authentic touch that reminded me of home.

World of Sourdough is a delight and surprise. Great food, reasonable cost, nice clean facility, stellar fast service and very kind staff. World of Sourdough is an Arizona branch of the Sourdough and Company from Northern California. Speaking with management, they let me know the shop is the first of a number opening in the Valley of the Sun , bringing their historic and wonderful bread from the original sourdough batch originating in San Francisco.

My normal modus operandi is to make 3 visits to a place before granting a review. This takes the guesswork out of a place being (or not being) consistent. So I have been going back to World of Sourdough this week not to meet my requirements, but because the experience was stellar.

On my first trip, I ordered a heated italian sandwich, with the creamy mac and cheese side (which came with a piece of sourdough as well). This trip I ordered the #13 turkey pesto sandwich (cold) and a bowl of fire roasted veggy soup (came with a piece of sourdough again). The food, especially the bread, is absolutely perfect. The crust, the softness of the inside, the freshness, and the taste are all spot on. I love sourdough bread, so this was a delight. Regarding the bread, I learned it is fresh baked to perfection right in the store. The original sourdough dough is brought in daily from San Francisco (partially heated for transport). They then complete the process by baking each loaf when needed in the store. It’s absolutely fresh when it hits your sandwich! Love it.

The sandwiches themselves are stuffed full of the meats, veggies, cheeses, and sauces you specify. Great flavors on the stock list, but you can vary to your taste as you order. I loved the heated Italian sandwich, but the turkey pesto was also very nice, light, and perfect. I ordered the 6-inch sandwiches, and I am full all the way. I’m a big eater, so that is saying a lot. If you like monster portions, the 8-inch may be your huckleberry. The soup was super fresh as well. Great flavors, hot with no lilted and old veggies. Sandwiches come with a side spear of pickle as well, which I enjoy.

The staff here is just spectacular. If the food wasn’t so good, I’d have started with talking about the warm people here who make sandwiches faster than your aunt when you show up unexpectedly. The staff listened to the order being placed and was making it the moment the order was placed. The management and staff greet you kindly, respond to inquiries, and you never feel like they are bothered or interrupted by customers (something I’ve felt often in other sandwich shops).

I love sandwiches, and I love sourdough. This place hits my top spot, not just because of its selection of bread, but because they execute the food prep perfectly, quickly, do it with a smile, and provide stellar customer service in store. I will return, and you should, too! See you there!

Sourdough clam chowder bowl $13. $9 pastrami reuben 4″ sub. It was okay. Expensive. Not enough clam chowder in a bowl. Maybe a 1/2can of clam chowder if your lucky. Not good enough to come back

The young man who helped us was very helpful and polite. It was our first time here and he shared his favorites and answered our questions. ❓

We each got a sandwich, one with a bread bowl and tomato soup and the other with a salad and a drink. We both love sourdough and the bread did not disappoint. It is not really a bakery, though, so you will not have many other choices if you are not a fan of sourdough bread. It is more like a fancier Subway.

Chips and cookies are also available to purchase. The soda machine is in the dining area, so you can choose your own beverage.

We really enjoyed our lunch, but it does lean towards the more expensive end at about $15-$20 per person with a sandwich and a drink.

I come here at least once a month and usually everything is perfect and amazing, but today when I came in something was off the people working were messing around and talking and just not really paying attention. I ordered a turkey and pesto 8 in and usually this is delicious and has the sauce and everything perfect amounts but today there was nothing on it maybe a drop of the pesto and the mayo, the bread was stale and rough, I also got a pastrami 6in and it was supposed to have the house mayo and mustard but there was nothing mustard and basically no mayo, this sandwich as well the bread was very rough and stale like. I dont usually do this but this was the most disappointing thing as I felt like everyone was to busy talking or watching other people to make the food correctly.
