I checked Sour out in East Beach Norfolk for the first time in March. I really liked them, but did not return until recently. In my opinion they offered an excellent wood fired pizza that rivaled what I’ve had in the area.
My order of a Veggie, pepperoni and prosciutto & arugula was placed over the phone. The staff was awesome over the phone once I came back from hold. Just before Christmas they were very busy! The timetable was 20-25 minutes for pick up.
I arrived about five minutes ahead. The woman who I talked with checked me out. You can tip on a card. Another gentleman said I was next up, then a few minutes later I got a push text “order ready”. However, one of the pies was a bit overdone their standards. So they asked to remake it.
The dining rooms had customers on a Tuesday before Christmas. The staff hustled! They offer beer and wine to in-house and take out.
The replacement pizza was whipped out in around 5-7 minutes. They also included the other pie no charge. They apologized for the delay.
Got the pies home to the family other delight trying a new place. The wood fired pizzas were a smash hit, especially the pepperoni. I personally thought the veggie was amazing. My wife liked the prosciutto the best! None were greasy, tasted cleaner than competitors.
I would 100% recommend Sour.

Delicious sourdough pizza & great service!
Sourstreet Pizza makes their pies with sourdough crust, and this was my family’s first time trying it. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer along with three different pizzas: the pepperoni, the white pizza with added sausage, and the margherita.
The meatballs were good, but the pizzas were even better. I had seen some photos online where the pepperoni looked a little overdone, so I asked the staff to be mindful when baking it since my son won’t eat dark or crispy pepperoni. They were super accommodating and he ended up eating all but one slice. Definitely kid approved!
They offer daily specials, have a friendly staff, clean restrooms, and a clean dining area. The only downside is that the parking lot is a bit small, so parking may be limited during busy times. Because the space is limited, I recommend calling ahead to get an idea of the wait time. If they’re packed, ordering your pizza for pickup is a great way to avoid the rush.
Overall, the customer service was great from start to finish. My family and I will definitely be back!

I will definitely be returning. The owner was such a sweetheart and shared his back story of how he got into making sourdough pizza. The views by themselves are enough to get you in the door, but the Pizza will definitely make you stay. The pepperoni and the veggie were my choices on this particular day, but I have a mission to get through the whole menu!! It’s good to be able to enjoy Organic Pizza without that sluggish feeling you get with other companies. Stop in and enjoy some Organic ingredients and hospitality!

I came here for the first time while I was visiting Norfolk last week. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing! They provided great food and drink recs and were so friendly. I would highly recommend it, as a self-proclaimed pizza snob, and I will absolutely be back during future visits to Norfolk. We had a white pie with prosciutto added – I don’t even LIKE prosciutto normally, and they managed to make it perfeftly crispy and delicious.

Super great please! It’s chill, everyone was so warm and friendly! The pizzas were delicious, Firestone cooked, and I love that it is sour dough pizza crust.
We also got the Caesar and arugula salads and they were so good!

Went to check this place out with a few friends and we all enjoyed it. The ingredients and attention to detail are spot on. Pizza crust was delicious, cooked to perfection, sauce is also well done. The salad was also tasty, good balance of ingredients. Good value for the money, you get what you pay for. The service was great, multiple staff asked us how everything was or if we needed anything. I’d like to see them expand their beer selection, but they had a decent range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. I’ll definitely be going back. Support your local pizza joint!

Absolutely delicious. This is my favorite pizza spot in the area. Incredible wood fired pizza and the staff is so friendly. The establishment is clean and a wonderful spot to hang out. We often take pizza and walk across to the beach to watch the sunset. They also offer a 15% military discount on Thursdays. I would recommend to anyone. We will be back!

The food here is amazing! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by multiple people. I ended up sitting at the bar close to the oven to see how everything worked. Being able to watch how much effort and care was given to make each and every pie made me appreciate the food more! Definitely recommend the arugula prosciutto pie and meat balls that are cooked in a cast iron pan. This place is also an awesome date night spot especially since they offer wine/beer. The beach is right across the street which makes it a perfect spot to grab a pie and enjoy the sun and sand!

The place looks new. It’s very nice and clean inside. Cool modern styling. Great bathroom design! The associates are polite and attentive. The nonalcoholic drink selection is pretty limited. But they do have alcoholic drinks which is uncommon in itself for a pizza establishment. The prices are pretty high. But I get it. You’re paying for the art of wood fire pizza. If pizza is just pizza to you, you can get more value elsewhere.

Contrary the complaints about slow service, we had super fast service on a slow Wednesday! Everything delicious, with excellent service to boot. Loved the Arugula Pine Nut Salad, Fire Roasted Meatballs, Arugula Prosciutto and Pepperoni Pizzas, and Tiramisu for dessert! Easily some of the best pizza in Norfolk. Some great drink options as well.
