I’m so glad I stopped in. The food was absolutely awesome, and I got the double bacon cheese burger (it was huge). The service was delightful, and the local crowd was welcoming and fun. I would highly recommend stopping in if you’re passing by.

I love this place. I’m from Omaha and my family owns a farm out in Modale. Since I was 7 years old (35 years ago), my grandpa used to bring me out to hunt at the farm and we would always go to The Sour Mash after. Burgers are awesome, the place just gives me nostalgia.

The staff welcomed an outsider such as myself well enough. Tho the drinks were limited and no cocktails; the appetizers and meals available made up for it. Most of it is processed and frozen like you’d purchase at the store, but their kitchen isn’t huge for fresh, handmade awesomeness.

On our way home from Des Moines IA and found this place on Google. What a great little find! Yummy food and fantastic service. It is a bar but it is clean and tastefully decorated I will be stopping here again anytime I’m through the area!
