Four mornings in Red Lodge after 3 days in WY not feeling well, and 3 of those 4 mornings began with soup to go from Souper Sandwich Cellar to be enjoyed with some mountain views (and a flat tire up Hellroaring day 3 haha). I also tried the grilled cheese with bacon (GF) and chef salad two of the days. I really appreciated that I could get the chicken soup without the noodles to make it GF, grateful tummy here. Comfort food really doesn’t get much better, and the owners are souper nice too! Every last bite of soup was the goodness my body needed. The only reason my last morning didn’t also begin with soup was because it was Sunday and they’re closed, or I would’ve surely had soup for breakfast Sunday too.

Full disclosure: I’m a bit of a sandwich snob. I always hesitate to get a sandwich anywhere because there always seems to be something lacking or the quality is just a let down. But THIS is not THAT. I got the turkey pesto panini and ended up eating it so fast I didn’t even have time to take a photo, which is a shame because the sandwiches are just lovely. The service is so friendly and everything was tasted perfect! All sandwich shops have something to work toward with this one on the map. I didn’t even get a soup and I’m regretting it now! But I was lucky enough to get a carrot cake cupcake, which is another thing I’m very snobbish about. It was packed mindfully for my to go order and tasted delightful! I’ll be stopping by every time I got through Red Lodge. From one picky eater to another: I highly recommend!

The young man who was working there was one of the nicest, friendliest people I’ve encountered. The little cellar was clean, neat, bright and inviting. I had the tomato bisque and panini souper veggie, both very good. I’m thinking of going back to try the mushroom soup which is available Oct. 23- Nov. 1 and the veggie mushroom and Swiss sandwich, which I’m sure will be delicious

Oh my goodness, what a hidden gem in Red Lodge! We stopped in for lunch while motorcycling through town, and had the best meal of our trip! The soup “flight” is a genius idea – I couldn’t choose just one of the amazing soups. The sandwich of the week – sliced beef with chipotle mayo, red onions and pepper jack cheese on a toasted ciabatta bun was amazing. We topped our meal off with a lemon-blueberry cream cheese bar — heavenly! The best part is that the owners make and bake everything from scratch and serve you with humility and a smile. I’d eat here every day if I lived in Red Lodge!

I don’t do a lot of reviews, but this place earned it with their outstanding food and service. I have not ordered anything from these folks that has not been fantastic. The prices are very, very reasonable and the man who has been working the counter each time I’ve gone in has got to be the brightest ray of sunshine you are going to find in any cellar, anywhere. Don’t sleep on this place.

What a wonderful lunch stop!! We had the special of the day – grilled homemade ciabatta bread with roast beef, sundried tomatoes, red onion, pepper jack cheese and chipolte mayo. Yum!!! And we loved the “flights of (homemade) soups”. So good!! If we didn’t live in Minnesota, this would be a frequent stop!! Great service as well!!

Excellent panini and delicious soup and chili! We dined in for our lunch but on our next adventure we will take the sandwiches to go! So glad we gave this literal hole in the wall a chance!

Our lawyer took us to lunch here this past Friday. The Tomato soup and grilled cheese was divine. The Beef and pepper jack sandwich my partner had with ranch, mushrooms, and onions was absolutely mouthwatering and left my pregnant self wishing they were open today (Sunday). Will definitely be back.
