Soundside Waterfront Bar – Fort Walton Beach, FL
If you’re looking for laid-back Florida vibes right on the water, this spot nails it. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with beautiful views of the Sound that make every seat feel like the “best seat in the house.” Perfect for catching a sunset, sipping on a cold drink, or just unwinding after a long day.
The bar staff is friendly and quick, the drinks come out ice-cold, and the food is fresh with portions that hit the spot. You’ll find a mix of locals and visitors, but it never feels overcrowded — just the right kind of chill energy.
Definitely a hidden gem on the water where you can relax, enjoy live music (on certain nights), and soak up that classic Fort Walton Beach atmosphere.

Hands down my favorite spot in downtown fort Walton. The staff is great, they are always doing events and gigs there with live music, foam parties, brunch etc. The atmosphere is solid, the espresso martinis are great, and the selection is good. They have a bar downstairs by the water with an entire hang out area down there, complete with a food truck.
This is also where the soundside cruiser leaves out of which is also super cool. I’ve been on it 3 or 4 times, and the folks running the catamaran are awesome, super friendly and fun.
Do not skip this spot. If you’re here visiting or living full time and looking for a new spot – this is it.

What a really cool bar to just chill and relax. Plenty of areas to sit out back at picnic tables and loungers. They have corn hole and fire pits for the cool Florida nights. Currently they do not have food but they do bring food vendors in on occasion. The inside bar is a great place to hangout with friends. Full liquor bar, both inside and outside. We met the owners Ben and Amber and they were awesome hosts and made sure we were taken care of. I would highly recommend stopping by for a drink here at a cool locals spot.

Went to relax by the water. Kinley was our bartender. She’s the sweetest Definitely hang on to her. It’s a cute place. They also rent out pontoon boats and offer boat tours. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth a visit. Food trucks are there also.

We held my retirement party here this past Friday. The venue was awesome! Ben and his team had everything ready for us. They let us bring in our own caterer and the event space was perfect. He worked with us to make everything as convenient as possible. Plus, the music act was great. The music is not blaring but still entertaining. We highly recommend this place!

Trendy clean bar under Brook’s Bridge. Reasonable drink prices, but really clean and wide open. A little loud when live music plays due to it not being very large, but still had a great time. They have food trucks show up and someone sells s’more’s outside. Nice place to go out and have some drinks for the evening on miracle strip.

Love this place! It’s so cool, with a huge back area on the water. Family friendly, food trucks, tiki bar and live music — a must stop place. We love how much they add to our community!

Went for Halloween bar crawl. Atmosphere was great! Cheap generous pour drinks – food truck was on point and DJ Masiio was even better! He mixed pop and techno all night and kept the place jumping. Will follow him!Good spot to hang and the waterfront patio is unmatched in Ft Walton.

I didn’t have food but the drinks service was fantastic! The beer choices were large and the draft was cold! Vibes and music were light and airy. 10 out of 10 will be back.

We came in for the Sunday brunch, and we’d definitely come back for something else. Not sure it was 100% worth what we paid, but we don’t eat a lot. $20 for the buffet might be more reasonable for someone with a big appetite. The food was good, and bottomless mimosas are always a win.
