I ordered online and my order was pretty much ready besides the drink, and two of the sides they had to put in my bad. My guess is so it’s fresh. I got the Out of Site Special (chopped beef sandwich with two sides of Texas corn and ranch beans), a turkey kids meal with fried okra and a drink, banana pudding, and small side of Mac n cheese. The turkey and beef were flavorful and juicy, the fried okra was top tier, and corn was good as well. The ranch beans and Mac n cheese was lacking in flavor a bit but cooked well. Definitely will be back if I’m over on that side of town:l.

Every last Tuesday of each month Soulman’s BBQ is celebrating their 50th anniversary by offering a special deal that day only. This is a dine-in special valid at all locations. I visited the Hurst location and today’s anniversary deal is a chopped beef sandwich with 2 sides for $3.99. Only the first 74 customers (’74 is the year they started) can get this deal. I called the Hurst location around 2:30, to see if the deal was still available. I was told there were about 30 deals left, I went and claimed mine at 3:30. My wife didn’t want this offering, she only wanted a order of 2 add-on ribs. They actually gave her 3 and one was a burnt end. I feel like this is a great deal, especially since the food all tastes good. Here’s my $3.99 deal, I did add the cheese myself, I got fried cabbage and Texas cream style corn as sides. The spicy BBQ sauce is actually spicy and the cream corn has a little kick.

Good place for BBQ. The brisket is juicy, turkey is flavorful, sausage is in good texture. I didn’t expect Texas style corn gonna be spicy. It is a good flavor and spicy level!

We love this place – eat here probably 3-5 times a month. All staff members are very friendly and well trained and provide quick service. The sausage is delicious, and I like that they give the option of getting your brisket chopped lean.

The Kristeeeen! It’s a bowl of mashed potatoes, butter, cheese, and lean chopped beef. I added a side of sausage to mine. You gotta try it.

Happy B.D. to me!! Today is me and my older sister Belinda B.D. (RIP). My first event was the B.D. cut. Next, I had to treat myself to some Soulman’s BBQ. I had the pull pork with Mac-n-Cheese, green beans, lemonade, and chestnut pie. It was absolutely delicious!!
I had an opportunity to meat the CEO as well. I found out Soulman’s BBQ is a Christian Restaurant. They weaved God into their plan and operations.
One thing that stuck with me from what the CEO said was how the business has core concepts that they strive to use consistently. One was service, the other cleanliness, and another quality of food. Well, I experienced all three! Those are great traits to have. It is essential to have great traits in a business. It is what we call core elements or core value. It enhances your value disposition. How do you want your customers to remember you? 1. Clean restaurant. They are very clean. 2. Great service They consistently asked me how I was doing. 3. Good quality food, Yes! It was delicious!!

Their sign advertises “ not stingy on meat”, well that’s a lie! Look at my photo- 2 “meat” plate is about as much meat put together as the size of the soggy Texas toast. Brisket was tender but had absolutely no flavor and server had to cut fat off before serving. That should have been done prior to smoking. Pulled pork was just ok. Sausage had a good flavor but we couldn’t chew through the casing. Creamed corn was out of a can with a hot spice added. The free ice-cream was the best part. Overall we were not impressed! We won’t be back..

Excellent BBQ. So good it’s gone before I took a photo. Clean restaurant with nice and cold air conditioning. Very casual and comfortable dining. Great for families. We shared everything so I tried everything listed and it was all very flavorful. Not the bland basic bbq other places serve. We will definitely be back and taking a to go order after dining in.

Staff is friendly! They gave a good amount of meat. The sides, condiments and drinks are all self serve. The desserts are good. I was very surprised how good the food was! If you like BBQ you will love this place.

Maybe I should have took the picture before eating. I had two meat and a fully loaded baked potato. With sweet tea. Everything was so good and the worker was very friendly. Two TV with the game showing and the environment was very clean. First time here and will come back thank you for such a great experience with many choices to choose from.
