This new eatery was recommended by a family member. Let’s just say she was right! Have been going to this great restaurant now about 7 times! lol They have a basic menu but it’s just enough. The only thing I would love to see (or have) are those pinto beans with dirty rice for some red beans and rice! That would be amazing lol But if you’re looking for something a bit different, simple, and very fulfilling….try this spot! You won’t be disappointed! AND they do have a rewards program so check those receipts!!!!

Im reluctant to share this best kept secret but seeing that I put my fork down and started using my hands, I have to tell somebody. It was literally finger lickin good! I haven’t tasted a meal so good that wasn’t at someone’s personal kitchen or at a good gathering (the one with the designated cook everyone likes). Atmosphere was beautiful and staff took pride in their work. The place was packed twice over and everyone was handled with care. Hands down one of the top spots for southern eating in Memphis.

Hubby and I dined here 01/2026. The food was absolutely delicious! We are food critics- not professional critics, but we enjoy well-seasoned food. Boy, were we delighted to taste the soulfullness in every bite! The owners were warm, welcoming, and delightful. We plan to make the 35 mile visit often, as the food and environment warrants this. I encourage others to visit, as you WILL NOT be disappointed!

I saw the restaurant on TikTok and decided to check it out today! Small and clean dining area. Friendly clerk taking orders. The highlight was the freshly prepared meal! Blackened catfish, chicken wings, yams , and turnip greens, corn muffins! Super Delicious no complaints!!!

My gosh, this food is the best I have ever tasted from any southern soul restaurant. 1st taste took me back to my grandma’s cooking. It brought back old memories. Let’s start with the okra. I thought only my grandma did it that way. No one does it that way no where. So delicious!!! Pinto beans are so scrumptious…. My fish was seasoned as it supposed to be. Perfect! Thank you for bringing back memories and delivering perfect food… I thought it was over for soul cooking, no no no. It’s still here thanks to you. Delicious!!! 5stars, no a million stars. Lol
