See it shared on Facebook and decided to stop by and give it a try. They had some exotic items for a good truck like gator bites and lobster tail. I opted for the catfish nuggets and okra with dirty rice. Man that catfish was what I been looking for I believe there were 12 pieces my box was full and with a little dip in hot sauce just what I was looking for. Okra was fried right and could’ve used a Buffalo mayo but I’m not complaining. I’ll be back weekly for my catfish

I tried this place for the first time today, and it was delicious. I really appreciated the kind gesture that was offered today, of a free meal ! I was given lots of options (chicken, fries, spaghetti, & mac and cheese). Everything was so fresh and delicious. The Mac and cheese was my favorite 🙂 I will definitely be visiting this place again.

It’s very inconveniencing to drive all the way to the establishment and they’re not open. This is very often. No working telephone number to double check therefore time and gas wasted. Inconsistent inconvenience.

Provided food for a repast. Slow unorganized servers were rude! Gave out the smallest portions of food (being stingy) so they could later just give the food away to strangers and tossed what was left instead of feeding the people who was there for 2 hours waiting to get served! Soul Goode not so good.

Rib tips were extremely hard to chew and mostly bones. Fries that came with tasted like fish, must have cooked them in the same oil. The sign at the window said “no cash refunds” that should have been a sign. So disappointed in my $15 lunch.

So, we had turkey tips, sliced turkey and gravy, macaroni and cheese, dirty rice, red beans and rice. The turkey tips had an after taste. The macaroni had a gritty feel and a sweetness to it. I didn’t taste the dirty rice becuase I don’t eat beef. The red beans and rice tasted from the box. I am a very picky eater and the taste just wasn’t there. My husband on the other hand usually finds nothing wrong with his food. But when I got up this morning, I noticed he had thrown it ALL in the trash. I’m disappointed to say the least. I had been trying to catch this particular food truck for a while. So that I could try their gator bites. With this experience though, I think I’ll just fry my own.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, from rib tips to fried gator, catfish shrimp and okra. The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had in my life. 100/100 recommend these folks, they know exactly what they’re doing.

The food here is AMAZING!!! I’m from the south and since moving to Michigan, I never thought I would find food that reminded me of home. I was starting to believe people up north didn’t know what it meant to “season” their food. After two years of searching, I’ve finally found my go-to! The mac-n-was seasoned to PERFECTION! The cabbage was very flavorful, which reminded me of my grandma’s. The nostalgia I felt was beautiful. The catfish was also delicious. I’m not over exaggerating when I say that just thinking about Soul Goode makes my mouth water.

We love everything we’ve had from here, the catfish, lamb chops, BBQ chicken, so many of the sides & it’s all beyond delicious. The true definition of comfort food! It reminds me of my Gramma’s food, she grew up in Salem, Arkansas and her food was perfect.
Also, I want to add they did a feed the kids iniative in underprivileged areas in Flint and I heard they fed over 900 kids their fantastic menu. That is beyond amazing, and a business I love to support. I can’t wait until they open again around here!
