We are first-timers The food was absolutely amazing. Hometown vibe was awesome The owner and the Chef the Rocc and his wife were great hosts. Sample deep fried ribs and chicken and a dessert we’re given as samples they were delicious can’t wait to see them again.

Soul Good really lives up to the name. Cozy little spot serving up fried ribs, catfish, greens, and all the good stuff. We came on a Friday and ended up catching open mic night—perfect vibe for a chill date night.We ordered one entrée with fried ribs, potato salad, and that creamy mac & cheese (so good we got 5 of them). Second plate was fried catfish with greens and yams—pure comfort food. While waiting on our food, the chef came out with some turkey chili beans on the house—straight fire.The whole meal felt homemade with love, and the hospitality was next-level. Definitely a 10/10, can’t wait to come back.

We ordered the fried ribs with a side of fried cabbage and Mac cheese. It came with bbq sauce and buffalo sauce. Both went well with the ribs! The kool-aid was awesome! Chef Rock is an amazing person! He let us sample the cornbread cake and turkey chili. Mmmmmm! Good!

Drove over 40 minutes to try Soul Good for the first time today. We ordered BBQ ribs, Shredded TriTip Slider, Fried Ribs, Fried Catfish, potato salad, Mac n cheese, turkey chili, and corn bread. This place was a very lowkey spot, clean, and good atmosphere. Chef was great explaining the menu, what the top items were, and getting our food out to us! Everything was great we’d highly recommend and will be back!

Once you find this hole in the alley spot, you won’t be disappointed. Tulare is over here keeping delicious secrets. There is designated customer parking, outside-only eating, and a restroom available for customers. All the magic happens inside the brick establishment while you wait outside (or in your vehicle) to keep warm. Be warned, this is not fast food and they don’t claim it to be but it IS worth the wait. If you have time and an appetite, stop by this place and get treated and fed like family.

The food was amazing! We had a small mixup with sides and drinks but they made things right (and that kind of service always gets extra points). There’s only outdoor seating (my favorite kind) so getting “to-go” might be the option for some. I had the oxtail, it was amazingly tender! It is as it says- Soul Food, so go if you’re hungry!

Truly one of the most wholesome dinning experiences. The chef greeted us and made us feel sooo welcome. The food is beyond good. I’ve had lot of greens in my life and these are by far the best I’ve ever had. Food phenomenal. Service exceptional. The atmosphere delightful and makes you feel as if you are just hanging out in the backyard. I will be running back next week. I can’t even post a picture because I devoured my food.
