I had the meatloaf with greens, yams, rice and gravy. For dessert, German chocolate cake. The meal was quite delicious and satisfying. I didn’t finish in one sitting. The portions are generous.

I have only been here once, but I will be going back soon!
I felt welcomed.. The owner cared about my needs… Asked questions…. Friendly, and I could observe that she has a bunch of regulars!!! Which says that this food is good!.
I was not disappointed.
I ordered Red Snapper (fish) and Fried Shrimps with order of rice and beans
Good Job!!!
Right off the freeway. Easy to get to. 91 fwy off cherry exit.

Recently went, and my order was wrapped tightly, so no spills on the way home. I appreciate that!
Smoothed turkey wings and beef ribs Mac n cheese red beans and rice! Feed 4 people!
I didn’t get oxtail this time, but they are good!

Do not order the Oxtails unless you are having an absolute life or death craving for them! The regular oxtail dinner plate comes out to $36.99 plus tax and additional surges if you use your card! The plate only comes with 3 oxtails! They say that it includes rice but they only put rice on one quarter of the plate! Their Mac and cheese is sub par and it isn’t creamy or cheesy. I would say KFC has better mac and cheese. Their greens have a strange after taste and doesn’t include any smoked meat. Their yams are soft but may be too sweet for some. Their cornbread is dry and crispy and lastly their peach cobbler hardly has any crust. The cashier showed me the size of their mini dinner plate which looked like the same size of the regular plate but only includes one side for $18.99(possibly 2 oxtails). I would say just order the mini dinner plate and add a small side for $7 if necessary. Overall the oxtails tasted decent but the sides and the portions could be a lot better for the price!

My boyfriend and I have wanted to try this place for at least a year and we finally got around to it. There was a decent amount of seating inside and parking is sufficient enough for a Friday night. Service was decent too.
I ordered the BBQ Chicken with rice and gravy, yams, baked beans, and potato salad. My boyfriend had the Hungry Man combo (smothered oxtails and smothered ribs) with rice and gravy, mac and cheese, and cornbread stuffing. Everything we ordered was pretty good, particularly the cornbread dressing (probably some of the best I’ve had). I could do without the rice and gravy and there were a couple items like the mac and cheese, beans, and yams that I’ve had better elsewhere. My boyfriend thought the oxtails and ribs were really good.
All in all, it was a good place but just a bit pricey in comparison to other Soul Food places I’ve been to. I would come back though if I’m craving Soul Food.

Soul Food! Where???? This place is HORRIBLE and needs to shut down ASAP!!! From the BURNT CORNBREAD, watery MACARONI AND CHEESE and overly cooked and small amount of OXTAILS!!! It’s very distasteful how you would add beans and rice as a filler on the plate because you didn’t want to add a good amount of oxtails!! I’m highly disappointed and would not RECOMMEND!!! Save your money and go elsewhere!!! You’ve been warned!!!

Wonderful experience alert! This is my new favorite spots when in visiting LBC. The ladies are nice, and extremely polite. I ordered veggie plate, collard greens, dressing and yams, and potatoe salad as a side, its was a over whipped but super tasty. Its about the flavor. Great job! Will definitely be back! #TEAMSMILEY

Diamond in the ruff! Brought my mom here & we really enjoyed our meals & desserts. Small restaurant in a small, unassuming shopping center. You have to order before you sit but there isn’t an abundance of seating. Most ppl ordered to go so there was plenty of seating while we were there. They brought the food & drinks to our tables & I would totally recommend. I’ll be back. The meat was jumping off of the bones!

This is Soul Food goodness! Delicious entrees and sides, delectable desserts and personal service that feels like you’re at grandma’s house. Now it is a bit pricey, but you will leave satisfied.
