It’s a great restaurant! Good atmosphere, delicious food, and a great chef. I had a Belgian waffle with Bacon and a side of bananas with sweet cream, I will definitely go back I recommend 100/10 it’s delicious you need to go there the food is to die for

Very disappointed!! The meatloaf must have been vegetarian because there was no meat in it. It was all bread and gravy on top. It had the consistency of the new plant based products. The mac n cheese was bland and mushy. I ordered Apple Cobbler, the bread was raw and it was served upside done, I was excited to try this place but now I wish I had not spent my money there. I gave it ONE star only because I had to pick one in order to post.

This place is amazing. The food is the best that we’ve had in Lake Wales in a long time. Wonderful service as well. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband had the red velvet chicken and waffle. There is love in every dish.❤️ Do yourself a favor and GO THERE!!

I’ve been to Southern Sweetness Soul Food several times and each time I am tempted to go back for more. I can’t get enough of the great home cooked meals. The atmosphere is absolutely welcoming and the staff is very pleasant. Recently I had the grits & shrimp meal it was mouth watering delicious. I definitely recommend this family friendly environment you won’t regret it.

I started eating here a month ago and the service with smile and Great food surrounded by a family atmosphere is delightfully inviting. The chef her daughter and son in law run a tight smooth ship with smiles and good conversation ! The best part is the mouth watering food! I never miss Sunday brunch it’s different every week! I had Red Velvet Chicken and Waffles Sunday! My go to meal every morning is Shrimp and grits! Thank You for my home away from home!

I ordered the shrimp po-boy and WOW, it tasted just as good- perhaps even better- than the ones I got in Mississippi. My pops ordered ordered the jerk chicken and he said it was THE BEST he’s ever had. It was all so great, the colard greens and okra tasted just like my great grandpa’s. The staff were so polite, it was just incredible, it’s a lovely family owned restaurant with prices that beat out any other. Will definitely be back.

We went to this restaurant on Thursday December 30 around 2:45. $30 later I was disgusted with this restaurant. The decor and the atmosphere was nice. We ordered and it took 30 to 45 minutes maybe longer to get our food.
