This is strictly a Carry out with outdoor table benches. Delicious salmon and shrimp bowl! Slightly spicy! Thick, tender salmon and jumbo, plump juicy shrimp! The noodles are really good and the dish is not salty. The plasticware is on point, nothin flimsy! You won’t be disappointed at $21.00!

I came to Dayton for a couple days for work and found this spot on TikTok and let me tell you they did not disappoint. I ordered Jerk Chicken with rice and cabbage, it was sooo good. The chicken was seasoned perfectly just the right amount of spice. The cabbage was also seasoned well and the rice and peas was delicious. Big up urself veteran chef you did your thing.

10/10 and WILL BE BACK. A lot of Dayton soul food places have salty sides and cheat you on the portions. This place the portions were BIG. Cornbread was so good! Only thing they need is peach cobbler or banana pudding (with chessman cookies). Mac and cheese was seasoned perfect! Nothing felt to heavy.

I stopped in on a Saturday not long after they opened up. I ordered a catfish dinner with greens and Mac n cheese and everything was delicious. I will definitely try again because my experience was good. They even have benches set outside if you would like to catch a nice vibe of nature.

Honestly out of all the soul food places I’ve tried in Ohio, this place seems to be the best. This was my second time here on a Friday so I ordered the catfish dinner with greens and yams as my side. Catfish was super delicious and seasoned very well and crispy. After taking my first bite I wanted to go back in the restaurant and high five the chef. I also got an extra side of Mac and cheese which was good. I also ordered the gumbo greens but they were a bit too salty for my liking. I would rather just stick with the OG greens. Looking forward to going back and trying more stuff.

Soul Food Carryout catered an event that attended last night. The food was absolutely delicious. At this event, the food was to be dropped off and not served by the restaurant. Mr Brown’s (Soul Food Carryout) self sacrificing spirit led him to stay at the event, assuring the guest were served and things ran smoothly regarding the meal. I can’t thank him enough for doing this. Not sure of how things would have turned out, had you not stayed….Thank you, Soul Food Carryout, You guys Rock!!! I will be patronizing and recommending you.

You’ve got to go to Soul Food Carryout. The food is delicious. My husband said the catfish is the best he’s had in a long time—maybe ever! The collard greens gumbo is so full of flavor and textures. We will be back to try other menu items.

I truly enjoyed everything I have ordered. I drive 30 minutes just to get their food. I have order shrimp and grits. The serving size was great as well as the food. I ordered the BBQ salmon dinner with 3 sides ( Mac & cheese, Greens & yams). Everything was delicious.

Mac and cheese tasted sour and fried chicken tasted OK but might have been reheated from day before… Nothing great but not horrible. Probably won’t order from again though ♀️
