Such an inviting establishment and prime location for a perfect bite to eat while also getting a chance to pop by some other small Businesses. These ARE NOT your regular empanada. These are packed with FLAVOR AND HEARTY with each empanada weighing in over .5lb. MUST TRY. And i promise it will NOT be your last. *This is not a paid review just a very happy and overly satisfied customer hehehehe.

Where do I start?.. well, for starters they are huge, they’re heavy and they’re delicious! I tried three different flavors today, cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, and Buffalo chicken all three were excellent!.
Three empanadas for 18.98. So well worth it.
I like how they have a variety to choose from and also specials. One empanada and a can of soda 7.50 such as steal!
They were so heavy that I had to pull out my kitchen scale because I was curious to know how much they weighed. each one weighed between 8.8 and 8.9 ounces. They were so so delicious flavorful and juicy not to mention cheesy. I will definitely be going back!
The owner Ben was very pleasant, and Jessica was just as friendly ❤️

2. The flavors are amazing.
3. The staff and owners are welcoming and friendly.
4. It’s only two blocks from my house.

I need to preface this review with my personal experience with Latin American food, especially empanadas. My wife and I lived in Cali, Colombia for two years… a long time ago! We made many friends and greatly enjoyed the country, the people, the culture, and the cuisine. Ben and his staff have created the most amazing and unique empanadas we’ve ever tasted! They are “SIMPLY THE BEST “ !!! We especially enjoy the brisket, beef, pork and meatball parm. If you’re looking for remarkable and creative empanadas, stop by .. say “Hi” to Ben and tell him the “Old Gringo” sent you! You will not be disappointed and will be back!

The empandas were exceptional. Crispy outside, moist and flavorful filling, and right on target with the description. I ordered the cheesesteak and onions,, Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak and meatball parm. All three were great (even after reheating, ’cause no, I can’t eat more than one at a time). $7 per when you get 3 is reasonable for take out. Maybe expensive for street food, but we aren’t in Mexico, Jamaica or Costa Rica! I love the way they imprint the crust with the flavor so you know which is which-elegant touch! They ought to consider offering counter items to boost revenue (candy, cookies, cake, chips and other snackables).

This new empanada shop is a gem!! From the first bite you can taste the freshness and authenticity The crust is perfectly golden and the fillings are seasoned just right. The staff were kind and attentive and the shop has such a cozy vibe. I tried the beef and chicken empanadas both were incredible! I’ll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Definitely my new go to spot for a quick bite. Highly recommend!

So happy to see there shop at Risley Square is finally open. I stopped in recently to pick up a buffalo chicken empanada. It was made fresh to order and was stuffed from end to end and tasted so good. It was reasonably priced and they have a deal if you buy multiple. If you like empanadas or want to try one for the first time, I highly recommend checking these guys out.

They took amazing food truck food and made it better to grab and go! The empanadas are absolutely amazing! Can’t go wrong with the buffalo chicken cheesesteak, the chicken parm, steak fajita, or the pulled pork! Cannot wait for another empanada meal!
