It’s beautiful. It’s clean. The cashier is personable and as I told him where I currently live doesn’t have black American food so this was a treat. The Glorilla greens are delicious. The yellow rice is heavy handed with turmeric. The mambo sauce paired with the fried chicken is delicious. My kiddo had the Mac and she said it was delicious. She did note though that the chicken was too salty. The season is there just need a tad less salt. We also indulged in the lavender lemonade. It’s super refreshing. Wish I knew about this place all the times I came down to mpls. I would have been shown love. Also there was business on Uber Eats and in the restaurant. They had steady traffic. Someone else had yams and they smelled like heaven.

We stopped by Soul Bowl and were really impressed the moment we walked in. The space has a great vibe clean, creative, and full of local pride. The “Pride of the Northside” wall, the artwork, and the “Humble Hustle” sign really give it character and make it feel like more than just another restaurant.
I ordered the Crab Boil Wings with Fries, and they were full of flavor. The seasoning was on point, and the wings had that perfect mix of crisp and juicy. My wife had the Rasta Pasta, and she loved it creamy, flavorful, and loaded with toppings. I also tried the Queen B Lemonade, which was refreshing and just the right balance of sweet and tart.
The staff was friendly, and the service was smooth from start to finish. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do. Between the food, the look, and the energy, Soul Bowl is definitely worth a visit. We’ll be back for sure.

I keep my eye out for Soul Food restaurants in MN and decided to try this place. Got the Caribe Bowl to go. The rice was nice. Chicken was flavorful & juicy. Plantains were a nice contrast. A bit pricey & slow but quality was pretty good. Will go again!

I tried the Plant-Based Caribe Bowl today and absolutely loved it! The flavors were bold and just the right level of hot and spicy — exactly how I like it. The plant-based “chicken” was so well-seasoned and crispy that it tasted just like real chicken. The sweet plantains added the perfect balance to the spice and made the whole bowl feel complete.
One of the best bowls I’ve had in a while — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. If anything, I’d love a bit more protein and a little less rice next time, but overall this was a fantastic dish. Definitely coming back for it again!

Would you like me to make it shorter and more casual (perfect for a quick 1–2 line review) or keep this detailed foodie-style for people looking for specifics before ordering?

This place feels like going to your aunties house and seeing all your cousins. The food is soooo good. I had the Rasta pasta and it was so yummy, the chicken had a perfect char. The complimentary cornbread makes the meal feel like home. Everything was for sure a 10/10

I was supposed to try their chicken turkey bacon fries at the Minnesota State Fair, but they were so popular they sold out so I took the $5 off coupon they gave me as collateral & finally decided to check out their new location. The Rasta Pasta & the Wings were phenomenal. Shout out to V3 for dedicating this space to a locally owned Black Business. The owners are solid people. Check em out.

My friend was craving soul food, so I took her soul bowl spot I discovered a few months ago. This place is incredible the food is absolutely soul-snatching! The manager, Maurice, was amazing. He surprised us with a complimentary dessert and even added a free jerk chicken on top of our order. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. Solid 10/10. The staffs are friendly. If you’re in the neighborhood, definitely check it out.

As a Southerner, this is not authentic African American “Soul Food.” Specifically, the yams, greens, and mac. The fried chicken is extremely salty and does not have much flavor. The yams tasted like clove, which most Black Americans do not put clove in their yams. The mac and cheese tasted very cheese sauce-ish, not that baked taste you typically get in the South. The greens were just not it. While it is not terrible, it is not worth the price or hype. I will not be back.

So good for vegan options!!! So delicious I had to force myself to take some home for leftovers. I had the Southern Hospitality(vegan) and I would highly recommend. Also added some mambo sauce which we loved in DC.
