We came in on a weekday for lunch and sat on the patio with our two little dogs. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. Was a very nice day to sit out on the patio. There is a player piano out there but I’m not sure it works. Interesting to look at though. I had an Enmolado which is a chicken enchilada with mole sauce over it. It was delicious

In town visiting from Phoenix for the weekend and tried this place out. The staff were easy going, very kind and attentive. I had the number 9, two chicken enchiladas, chicken taco, rice and beans. The rice was very delicious with a pleasing savory flavor. The refried beans were creamy and very flavorful, among the best I’ve had. I am used to tacos where the shell is made into its shape with the meat inside, this taco was made with a pre-made shell. It wasn’t bad, just not what I’m used to. The enchiladas were fine. The chips seemed slightly stale, so that was a bummer. Overall, the fare is typical Mexican food and likely has broad appeal for tourists in this artsy small town.

It seems like they’re winding down. The food is still good, but the selection is less and you shouldn’t be in a hurry. I like the food but it’s not a great value. It’s like no one cared whether we were there or not. Didn’t bother checking to make sure our food was good or whether we needed drink refills, and the place was pretty empty,so it’s not like they were overwhelmed. I refilled our chips, since no one bothered to ask. Almost certainly our last visit.

We were there for lunch on Saturday, January 31. Sat on the patio that was less than 1/2 full. No menus. No drinks for 15 min. One very small bowl of salsa and chips for 4 people. We repeatedly had to ask the wait staff for menu, drinks, the opportunity to order. Didn’t get food for over an hour. And it was expensive for what we received.

We had a great time dining on Soto’s patio again. We love this restaurant, food was great, staff were great and the Dog Friendly patio, we couldn’t have asked for more. Our large 100LBS Black Shepherd stole the show as staff all came out for pictures with our well mannered dog PoCo.
You can bet our next trip to Tubac will include Soto’s.

Chose Soto’s on recommendation of a shop keeper. Good choice. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere and views of the Santa Ritas. Food was excellent and we enjoyed the margaritas and music from two wonderful mariachis. Portions of food were also generous. Did not spend much time inside but the atmosphere looked pleasant there as well. A little on the pricy side but not outrageous.

The best part about this restaurant was the man singing lovely ballads in Spanish! I had the Vegan Enchiladas. Food was OK. The enchiladas were filled with cabbage and onions (rather than calabacitas, as some other Mexican places serve). The sauce tasted like simply tomatoes run through a food processor. The service was not good. I was seated outside and, after taking my order, the waitress evidently forgot about me. She never brought drinks. I had to walk in and ask the boss for a glass of water. She could still have salvaged her tip, if she would have simply apologized. I won’t be back to this Tubac eatery.

Nice restaurant. Good traditional Mexican food. A tad chinisy on the chips and salsa, meaning you get one very SMALL bowl of chips and salsa free and the next bowls are charged.

This is really a decent place – EXCEPT – that tonight they served us two margaritas that were made overly sweet. We asked the server to rectify the problem with the first one by trying a second one and we asked and asked that it not be so sweet. It came back AWFUL, far too sweet. They did not listen. Then the manager came out and told us that they were not willing to do anything for us and they charged us for it, un-drank and sitting on the table. We have been coming here for years and tonight was the last time we will be here. So, do the math – let’s risk hundreds of dollars of future income over a poorly-made 13 dollar drink. Seriously? Poor customer service. Bad management choice there. Just awful. I would recommend you avoid this place; there is no integrity.

This is a wonderful place to go to for Mexican food! First, they have all the typical fare, tacos, enchiladas, etc. however, the beef fajitas are a bomb.The place is well decorated and the atmosphere is nice and staff is very friendly. They have a full bar and make very good margaritas! You won’t be disappointed! Definitely going back again.
