Update: how is it possible to get better over the years? Well Sora Delivers! With the head sushi chef as always bringing the most amazing experience possible. Thank you for continued amazing service all these years later!!

Wow this sushi   spot has me both satisfied and still craving more!! Plan on making reservations or anticipate a bit of a wait during dinner hours as it will be packed. The options are fresh and flavourful!!

I highly encourage if you can to go OMAKASE and try what the chef plans for you. (Warning it will be pricey!! Plan $200 – $300 depending on drinks) This will offer both variety and uniqueness to your meal. (Cheaper options like for omakase sashimi are much less than the full meal and just as good.)

Accommodated seating has been prepared outside for COVID and space is limited inside but indoor dining is on. Parking limited nearby

(Went back and got some pictures but still I was mostly consumed with my flavorful meal)

First time in a LONG time I did not leave a tip. The staff pretty much ignored me. After waiting a while to order my next dish, I decided not to order anything else and go to another restaurant in the area. My server disappeared and the sushi chefs behaved like I was invisible. ALSO, the rolls are quite small. Probably won’t return.

I haven’t gone to such a good sushi spot in a long time.
Highly recommend this place, come early they don’t take reservations. Try not coming with a big group or come knowing you might wait.

The Sushi chefs are really nice!

Over price. Salmon sashimi did not met expectation, not fresh enough. The soft shell crab was over fried. Service is slow.

We dined in the 1st time – some of the food was great and well priced (spicy tuna rolls $10) but others were a miss; i thought the yuzu sauce on salmon overpowered the delicate salmon flavor. But the food is good, and i did takeaway a few days later. they were great despite the poor presentation.

This is a great place… u can reasonably get in on busy nights (one of the reasons I come) and it’s reasonably priced. Theres a place on the pennisula I prefer but it’s double or triple the price and it’s a 2 hour ordeal at min.

I feel like this is a great neighborhood spot…

My Go to’s

Oyster: Uni shooters (we love these!)
Soft Shell Crab (sooo good )
5pc Omakase
Chardonnay
Lychee Martini

Good wine selection basic but good enough

Love the staff and chefs everyone is great here!

Located in Corona Del Mar this fusion inspired Japanese restaurant serves upscale sushi rolls and more. This visit came in during lunch time and ordered a Baja Roll $20 and miso soup $4. Flavors were good and then it goes downhill.

Server was in a rush to get our order in and made me feel uncomfortable the whole time I was eating. Felt like I was dinning at a fast food restaurant and when I was about to eat my last piece of sushi she comes over to try to clear my plate and it was very awkward and unprofessional without asking if I was finished. She insisted on me ordering more food and I said no and then comes back to the table again and insisted I order more. I’m about livid at this point. Was rushed to pay as well.

Overall experience was not great and felt angry that I dropped a fair amount of money on a meal that I really wanted to enjoy.
