First time ever trying Puerto Rican food. The owners took their time explaining best sellers and THEIR favorites. Which made ordering very easy. The food was made fresh to order. Friendly vibes, amazing food! We ordered chicken/ pork tacos, the papa rellena, the beef and cheese pastillio meal. Will 100% be back.

Was told about this place several times. I finally was able to stop in today and the food was extraordinary! The pork and chicken were seasoned perfectly! I heard She makes everything from scratch everyday and I was blown away. Completely worth the stop! No chemicals, no MSGs, just real food.
Please stop or order from their website for delivery.
Sorry, it smelled so good, the photo was an afterthought! 10 out of 10, do recommend!

We had never had Puerto Rican food before but wanted to try when we saw Sorta Rican in BA. We decided to try the beef and cheese pastelillos (apparently a fan favorite) with sweet plantains and rice, plus a side of mofongo. We also shared their piña colada in a pineapple. The food was excellent, owners were friendly, and they even had dominoes on the table to play while we waited for our food (not long at all, for the record). I highly recommend checking this place out – thanks to Sorta Rican for bringing a little taste of PR to BA.

Great little food truck serving some great Sorta Rican food! Had the Pernil meal and beef and cheese pastelillo meal with rice and tostones. Came with mango salsa and mayo ketchup and a cold drink. We sat at the picnic tables and played dominoes until they brought out our food in less than 10 minutes. Hot, fresh and delicious. Took home tray of frozen pasteles and an order of papá rellenos. I’ll update when we’ve eaten those but I’m sure they will be just as delicious! Bonus artwork on the boxes

Fantastic food and generous portions at a fair price! You have to try the pastelillos and the love in a box tacos. We also had the Piña coldas in the pineapple which were the freshest we’ve ever tasted!

Delicious Puerto Rican food. We had pastelillos, plantains, and delicious rice. Everything was so good. The owners were wonderful and kind. The pina colada in a pineapple is a fun touch too.

I was very disappointed with the food I received. It tasted 90 second Spanish rice mixed with granules out of the can, and then mixed and microwaved. The pork was very stringy and it had a gravy with it. This is a late post. I had gone there for the first time on July 15,2025. I probably won’t go back, however you can try it out for yourself. This is only my opinion. The service and atmosphere is fine.

Fresh sort of Puerto Rican flavors We loved the piña colada—so refreshing and not overloaded with sugar! The owners were so kind and even let us sample some dishes. My parents, who were visiting from North Carolina and had never tried Puerto Rican food before, absolutely loved the plantains and the beef and cheese pastelillo!”
