Apple cider mimosa is bomb. Always great food, amazing service, people are friendly and reasonable wait tome both for food and seating. $10 for overly sweet hot cocoa powder mix might be an overkill although it looked real cute. Wish it was more cocoa-ry instead of sugary. Otherwise, will keep coming back.

This place appeared on Google as a nice mom-pop restaurant. First time in Buffalo and first place for food with my brother.

Food: the food was really good, I had the French toast, house potatoes, and half (sausage/bacon). I wasn’t thinking when I ordered the breakfast meats and it came with 2 links and 2 stripe of bacon. For the house potatoes, didn’t realize that we would have to pay extra for the mix of peppers, onions, etc or I would have just got the potatoes plain. The French toast was good. A bit pricey but was good. One thing to add, because of some miscommunication in the kitchen, I was given a small plate with extra bacon so I’m very thankful for that (I ate that first so no pic) 7.3/10

Service: great service. I think it was shift change for our table. Started off with one server then ended up with a different one. But service was still cool. Everyone was super polite. 10/10

Atmosphere: this was had some awesome collectors items with pictures on the walls and sports memorabilia (boxing gloves, etc). My brother noticed that Guy from DDD has been there. Super cool place. 10/10.

Overall experience was really cool. Thankful we was able to have the first food place experience here.

Stumbled upon this gem in buffalo while we were driving through and heading to Niagra Falls. Couldn’t be happier that we did! Walked in and was seated right away! Ordered a basic breakfast of eggs, potatoes, and bacon. But let me tell you something, it was absolutely amazing!
Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were on point! As we sat and enjoyed our breakfast the owner came by to chat. We invited her to sit with us and we had such a great conversation. She even gave us directions to Niagra Falls. As we started finishing up she came back with some fresh baked Greek cookies. They were so flavorful! After we ate we discovered that the restaurant was featured on DDD. The hospitality in this restaurant was phenomenal and it just made our experience even better. If you are in the Buffalo area and looking for breakfast and amazing service then look no further! Sophia’s comes highly recommend! 100% recommend

Went there on a busy Saturday morning and waited about 20 minutes for a table. Once we got set our waitress was very attentive and accommodating. Very friendly! Our food came out quickly. Everything was amazingly delicious, fresh and hot.
The coffee was fire! Definitely worth the wait!. 10 of 10 recommend!

The best place for breakfast in Buffalo! The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. We came with a group of (7) people and we’re all happy with the outcome. The only downside I experienced is the fact that I was not the only person that wanted to eat there. The restaurant was packed and they deserve to be. Parking was a little bit rough on a snowy day, BUT I would absolutely eat there a million times over and over again. No one could complain about the food or service… It just was busy because everyone knows that’s the spot! They definitely deserve a solid 4.7 stars all day!

Very good place for solid breakfast. I went here twice while on my trip. The first day I got the corned beef hash and the chef’s special french toast. The corned beef hash is delicious though not as meaty as some places, the potatoes are cooked with cripsy edges that really put it over the edge. The homemade toast is very tasty. The french toast chefs special had cream cheese icing and strawberries and was absolutely delicious. Just the right amount of eggy and not soggy at all. Just how i like my french toast. Went back again the next day and my husband got the hash while I got the hen in the grass chicken and veggie omlette which was just perfect. Definitely worth a visit. Also worth noting this is a diners drive ins and dives location as well.

Sophia’s restaurant is hands down the best brunch spot I’ve tried during my trip to the U.S.! The service was absolutely flawless – friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming. Every detail made me feel like a valued guest.

The food was excellent and offered great value for money. Portions were generous, flavors were spot on, and everything was served fresh and beautifully prepared. It’s rare to find a place that combines quality and affordability so well.

If you’re in Buffalo and looking for a brunch place that delivers both top-notch service and an amazing meal, Sophia’s is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best place to get breakfast in Buffalo! If you’re in town, this is a must-visit. The new location offers an elevated dining experience with everything from delicious pancakes to a wide variety of drinks.

I’ve been coming to Sophia’s for over 10 years and recommend it to everyone I know. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Make sure you come hungry—portions are generous and everything is made with care.

Don’t be discouraged if there’s a 10–15 minute wait for a table. It’s absolutely worth it!

Food 5/5
Atmosphere 3/5- they have an open kitchen which sometimes can be a turn off as I don’t like to know how the sausage is made per se. Busy place, there is always a line at the door. They could do a better job managing the area that people wait in. Otherwise it’s cozy
Service- in the past it’s been 5/5 but today it was 0/5
The waitress didn’t even say hello/ hi / how are you when we sat down. We didn’t even have a second to review the menu before she came over and immediately asked for a drink order. Felt super rushed as soon as we sat down. She didn’t give us any space to look at the menu and just stood at the table while we quickly felt rushed to come up with our drink orders.
Drinks had not yet been served before she was back within minutes of taking the drink order/the first interaction with our table and we felt pressured to order breakfast before the drinks had even arrived.
No water refills, when the food came out she never came to ask how it was or check on us. The next interaction was a check being dropped with one word question, boxes?
Basically the whole experience felt rushed and impersonal. We understand it was a busy morning but it was no busier than any other time we’ve been in and had exceptional service with other servers.
The meal was great but we left with a bad taste in our mouth from the poor service today.
