Breakfast was excellent! I love all day breakfast and Sophia’s did not disappoint.
The staff there is amazing! They are very friendly and the service was so fast that we only spent a total of 40min here.
I really enjoyed my breakfast and I definitely recommend that you try the hash browns here they were delicious.
The prices here are also very reasonable, especially for a home cooked style meal.
The restaurant also feels cozy to me, which I like.
I would definitely come here again next time I’m in Sarnia.

Was craving a Turkey Clubhouse sandwich last week and I found the best place in Sarnia to get one, Sophia’s Diner! Fresh, home style ingredients, and the fries and gravy were delicious too! I absolutely recommend eating at this nice little Diner, the food is terrific and service was excellent!

Breakfast was great! Arrived just before 9a.m., told to sit where we wanted. Waitress came with coffee and took our order – French toast special and 2 eggs with sausage for my partner.
Food came out quick and served hot! Service was great too, filled our coffee when needed without having to ask and was friendly. Out the door with full bellies in about half an hour!

I used to really enjoy coming here whenever I didn’t feel like cooking, but unfortunately, the customer service has gone downhill. I called to place a takeout order and spoke with an older woman on the phone who sounded very unhappy to be taking my order. I stayed polite, placed my order, and then the call was abruptly disconnected. No confirmation, no goodbye.
Assuming my order was placed, I drove across town to pick it up. When I arrived, I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me. The cook noticed me and smiled, which I appreciated, but after waiting a bit longer, a waitress finally asked if I was there for takeout. I explained what happened, and she told me they hadn’t made my order and even claimed that I hung up on them. That definitely wasn’t the case.
At that point, I decided to leave without ordering. It’s disappointing to see how the service has changed here, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Nice small diner. It is an old building that appears to have been a drive through at some point and converted to a diner. The building is not in the best shape, but the owners appear to be doing what they can to keep it relatively clean. There’s not a big lot of parking, which was not a big deal when I came a there were not a lot of customers. The food was hot and fast, and I liked the fact that I could order anything of the menu at 8 am in the morning being that I am working night shift. The server was accurate and polite. Sarnia can be a difficult place to find a restaurant to dine in at the early hours. Would come again.

I have been wanting to go to Sophia’s diner for the past year whenever I get a chance to travel to Sarnia.
This week I finally had the chance to go.. and I was super impressed !!
The food was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced for real home cooked meals.
The server was friendly and answered all my questions.
Their daily specials were really good.
I ordered the Sunday special steak and it was delicious. Melted in my mouth.
I’ve been to other steak restaurants and Sophia’s was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.
My partner ordered the fish and chips and the fish was also fresh not frozen.
I would recommend Sophia’s Diner to everyone !
I can’t wait until I go back to Sarnia, because that’s the first place I will be heading to for a fabulous meal!

Cute small diner so long as you get a spot sitting in the window area and not the blocked off dark corner. Could use a little fixing up inside but ive seen worse. Food overall is good and they have decent specials. Most of the waitresses are nice, but there is one who i will try to avoid because it’s so uncomfortable and awkward with the service every time. Especially when she stands there hovering, holding the bill, making a scene about who’s paying the bill and what form of payment before my partner and I have even had a chance to look at the bill and figure anything out, physically touching my partner which I don’t appreciate. More I could add but I’ll leave it at that. Aside from that bs, it’s not a bad spot to stop in and have a decent meal.

I love Sophie’s Diner. We enjoyed our meal today. It was done just the way we like. The food is excellent comfort food. I’ve had their roast beef and baby liver before and really enjoyed them both. The staff is very polite and are quick to bring order so you have a nice hot meal. You MUST try a good meal here.
